Cross Server LFG /Stone Keeper Shards
![]() Kasim | So how are you going to work that???? You need to take out the 1000 Stone Keeper Shards from the WG achievement since you have to INSTANCE to get them and ONLY if alliance or horde controls WG.
So if I am LFG cross server, how do I know in advance if I can get stone keepers shards?? I am not going to instance unless we own WG and I have a chance to get shards. Bet you all haven't though of that have you??? Jon LeCraft on Engineering (Profession Designer)

I believe it's set up to recognize the state of the realm you're on. So if your faction on your realm controls Wintergrasp, you will have the buff and receive shards, while players on other realms who are in your party for a dungeon will not if their faction does not control Wintergrasp on their realm. It appears to have been a larger complaint disguised as a question. Keep in mind that following me around in threads posting PvP woes in all caps isn't going to make an argument more valid or influential. This is just a friendly reminder to those of you who can still post on the forums. :) I'm leaving the thread open since the information on the functionality of these shards within the Dungeon system is actually useful. Please ignore what is left of the antagonistic remarks of the original poster and feel free to discuss the information I've provided here. Thanks. That would defeat the purpose of having shards at all. I'm glad I got my suit dry-cleaned before the riots started... |

I rarely enjoy it. I'm only following the rules you choose not to. That said, this one might be slightly more enjoyable given how clear-cut the situation is. Nothing to see here. Back on topic folks. :) I'm glad I got my suit dry-cleaned before the riots started... |

Heirloom items aren't all that are available for purchase with these shards. If we were to give them out to everyone running dungeons regardless of who controls Wintergrasp, we might as well dissolve the shards into emblems and place the shard rewards on the emblem vendors. Stonekeeper's Shards are meant to encourage players to try and win Wintergrasp as well as run dungeons, as you can buy some good PvP items with them, whether they're heirloom items or level 80 items. It's a way of rewarding players for participating in multiple aspects of game play. I'm glad I got my suit dry-cleaned before the riots started... |
