Warning: Spoilers Ahead!
# 0 - October 21, 2009, 9:01 am We’ve put thousands of hours of work into crafting an epic conclusion to the Wrath of the Lich King story, and we’re excited that we’ll soon be able to share it with everyone -- however, we also think the surprises we’ve got in store are best experienced within the context of the game itself. Should you wish not to have your Icecrown experience spoiled, we advise you to steer clear of any sites data-mining and posting this content. And if you do seek out spoilers, we ask that you please be mindful of your fellow players on the official forums. We’re looking forward to hearing about your adventures once the new content is available on the live realms. |

As always, we will be assessing the need to suspend players who choose to post datamined information on the forums (which violates the Code of Conduct that is linked in the top most sticky.) We want to maintain a productive and constructive atmosphere here for players who may not want to know what is to come and enjoy the experience and surprise of it. No, unfortunately unless you are using it for theorycrafting. Even then, please be very careful about what information you use as a source for such theorycrafting. We love discussion on what could be and love the excitement that it generates. We just don't want theorycrafting to be used as a veil for actual spoilers. It's safest to avoid it if you can. We have no problem with people sharing their experiences with others after the events are released live for play. Anything currently available to be experienced on the PTR can be discussed. Anything that can be experienced once the patch goes live can be discussed. Anything that can not be experienced within the PTR currently or on future live patches is considered datamined and should not be posted in these forums. No matter what, it is always a part of human nature (for some people) to spoil things for others. We can't prevent that behavior, but we can certainly encourage those who are not willfully or knowingly spoiling this for others think a little bit more about their actions and how it affects others. We have yet to perfect our mind control machine so this will have to do. We also can control people's posting permissions on these forums in the meantime as it is shown to be necessary. My personal preference is not to have to suspend anyone. I don't prefer it, but will do what I need to for the benefit of the community as a whole. We're working on providing more information (beyond just what we're updating on the PTR and patch notes, and are shooting for providing the most accurate information we can. The Tier sets we show are accurate at this point in time and you can click on them for higher resolution images. There is more to come. Look for some additional information starting early next week.
