I'm always topping the DPS charts as a Rogue against similarly pimped out classes with a raid DPS spec. There are many, many, many, many, many variables involved to affect the accuracy of your statement. Maaven Blizzard QA The system goes on-line November 13th, 2008. Gear, skill, talent spec, factors related to specific boss fights... all of these are missing from your assertions. In every fight I've been on, I've topped the DPS charts. Maybe something breaks down at super high level raiding that remains intact on entry-level 10 and 25 mans. But you've got to give something more to work with than unsupported conclusions. I acknowledge that I don't know everything there is to know about the game, but the comments being made in this thread seem to be an "all or none" type deal, where Rogues are ALWAYS outperformed. I'm providing a notable exception. I'm not saying "I'm doing good so that must mean it's fine", I'm saying "I'm doing good, so can you provide some more data, take into consideration what each player's ability and gear spec and all those other factors that can affect DPS are, collect this all and isolate what the individual problems are, and post this information, preferably in a separate thread away from the General Discussion thread where developers are least likely to tread?" If you've already done this on other forums... I don't moderate the other forums. But the developers have likely seen it if that's the case. Maaven Blizzard QA http://f |

You'll also find your access to certain cities and flight paths will be restricted until you fix your reputation. Such is the price of piracy. Yarr. Maaven Blizzard QA http://f |

It means that there aren't going to be vendor awards, that it wasn't designed like more modern factions were (starting with Burning Crusade and going forward), and to pursue it is to willingly put on yourself a form of punishment that goes above and beyond what you would normally expect from a faction. In short, pursue Bloodsail Buccaneer reputation at your own discretion. You don't have to do it. There is only one or two "rewards", depending on your perspective, to doing it. A faction from the launch of WoW that hasn't been updated being compared against newer factions is not a good comparison to make. Maaven Blizzard QA http://f |

I don't respond to feedback or suggestions unless to point out that it needs to be improved. The reason is that I'm not qualified to respond. If you're looking for Ghostcrawler-esque responses, post where he posts. Maaven Blizzard QA http://f |

This is a General Discussion thread on the patch. That doesn't mean you can berate other users. So... o___o /############### |############### \######## Maaven Blizzard QA http://f |

No. Maaven Blizzard QA http://f |

QA is about finding bugs and fixing issues with the games. Typically, if there's a problem, I'm the one asking the questions and hoping for an answer. Otherwise, gameplay questions, advice, or anything else isn't something I'm supposed to handle nor should a user expect to be answered by a blue on this forum. Maaven Blizzard QA http://f |
# 151 - December 23, 2008, 9:43 am
This forum is very useful for us. You might find other forums, like General Discussion or others intended to be a community-centered discussion area more useful for the functions you have in mind. Maaven Blizzard QA http://f |
# 154 - December 23, 2008, 9:55 am
No, we are not in the General Discussion Forum. Read what I said again very closely. Also, my patience is beginning to run thin with you. Might be the username. I don't respond positively to passive-aggressive trolling. Maaven Blizzard QA http://f |
# 164 - December 23, 2008, 10:09 am
This is a blanket statement that can be disproved rather easily were you to see how things worked behind the scenes or took a look at any number of threads outside this one with a blue tag next to it on this forum and the Bug Report Forum. Let's keep the conversation on 3.0.8 and issues with the patch. We've already strayed dangerously far into territory not fit for public forum discussion. I'm not saying that to dodge the issue. You should probably put Feedback in a separate thread, clearly labeled Feedback in the subject. Maaven Blizzard QA http://f |

I try to be as correct as I can be when I write things, but the behavior you describe seems nitpicky and obsessive. We're humans here too and can make mistakes, like the one I made on Je'Tze's Bell. All I ask from any tester / customer is a certain level of respect and understanding of our position. Outright hostility / aggressive posting over what we say tends to be viewed at varying levels of harshness by the people tasked with reading them. Maaven Blizzard QA http://f |

As stated previously in this thread, please keep conversation in this thread specifically related to the patch. I've already discussed in previous threads about the expectations I have about people posting in this forum. To summarize, when you post here, you're volunteer testers, not customers. The Bug Report Forum is where customers (people who aren't volunteering their time to test and find issues in an unreleased WoW Client) should post.
