A Question For Blizzard

I understand that on these new tounament realms we are able to create a maximum of 3 characters what i was wondering is if I choose to make these 3 characters and then feel i dislike one of them would it be possible to delete this character and create a different one. So to basically summarise my question is it limited to 3 character at any one time or 3 characters full stop.
