Yep, your old details may work with the PTR -- they also might not. The PTR's account database is usually a snapshot of the live account database, taken from weeks before patch 3.3 ever appeared on the PTRs. So if you change your account details after that time, yes it may affect whether you can enter the PTRs.

Did you change your password over the last few months? If so, you might have luck by trying some of the old passwords.

And it would be lovely if I could actually help. Unfortunately, in this case, this kind of issue is covered in our Technical FAQ under "Locked characters on the PTR". Basically, it is something we cannot help with and you may not be able to access the PTR with that account. Sorry dude. :-(
