The Desktop Wallpaper Contest has come to a close, and we're ready to announce the winners.  But first, we would like to finally unveil the prizes for entering.  There will be three prize categories:  Grand Prize, First Place in Category, and Second Place in Category.

We're very happy to say that the community directly influenced the choice of the winners through our gallery ratings that we enabled specifically for this contest.  It's always difficult to choose a "winner" for a contest, especially with as many great entries as we had, but unfortunately it must be the case.  That said, we're going to leave all wallpapers up in the gallery so they can be appreciated by the community as a whole.  You can find them in the Contests Gallery.  Great work everyone, and congratulations to the winners!

Just as a warning, I'm going to be deleting any further posts of people complaining about "using others' graphics" because pretty much every submission used Blizzard art in some way.

The point of the contest was to integrate the World of Raids logo into a World of Warcraft themed wallpaper. The winner, and all others, did that properly.
