This comes as quite a surprise.  Two of the most renowned and successful guilds in World of Warcraft -- Nihilum and the former SK Gaming (Curse) PvE team -- have decided to join forces for Wrath of the Lich King, under a new guild name, with the focus being the best in the world.

Nihil get some serious competition and they form a merger with them? If neither of the guilds like healthy competition, i predict they can't handle not getting a raid spot and it'll collapse within a few months due to ego's clashing....Even if they make 2 raid groups, one of them won't be as good, and that'll cause issues....

SWEDES FTW! How will anyone stand a chance against this core of hardcore players now? I bet they get world first on everything there is in LK. :S Not that I care, I'm a fecking casual anyway

But to be honest, I think this won't be a success. Someones ego will destroy the guild. Tell me one company that have two or even three presidents? None successfull. Why? Because someone have to be nr.1 or things will go back and forward within the leaders and someone will get hurt in some way (if not the "employee" themselves, meaning the guild core of players).

This will fail, if not. Then you'll get the noble price.

Ah well, I don't know about the ego's, I don't know anything about anyone in Nihilum or SK Gaming, so I can't say anything about the merge really. I do think though, that a press release, and calling yourself a new brand, might be pushing it a little. But hey that's just me.

I can't help but agree a little bit with the guy who said that dedicating more time than anyone else doesn't make you the best guild, but then again, best is a term that different people will think differently about.

As long as they all have fun, is all I care about!

This is quite unexpected. Why would the top two PvE guilds in the world need to join forces? Are they both perhaps in a bad situation which requires them to make a whole new team of raiders in order to countinue PvE progression.

Whatever the case, it will be interesting to see how this will work out. And what name they will choose. Curse of Nihilum?
