anyway, as things have gone in tbc 3.3 is probably gonna be released somewhere next year, like the ZA patch but nonetheless i could be wrong, as if they release it to early end-game people will get extremely bored and quit wow 'till the next expansion, like now :>

It honestly didn't pop into my head. ;/
This didn't really start out as a Q&A, but as more and more people started sitting down around the table it turned into that, heh.

The game is becoming the World of Casualcraft... already having like a gazillion mounts, vanity pets, that idiotic Valentine seasonal thing, pink dresses, tuxedos, virtual marriages, whatever... o_O Hell, some idiot RPer chick once wanted me to get laid virtually... rofl.
I consider myself a semi-raider and it may sound ackward, but i say: "Hey! Casuals! Get a life!" Dance studio? Laughing my ass off... If i want to dance, i just go out with my GF and friends...

If they keep us sitting around 10 months mid-expansion again like they did with Black Temple even more people will quit. They might be able to pull that stunt of once, I don't think people will be to happy if they try that again. They probably released Sunwell at the right moment. Ofcourse the hardcore guilds have been farming Sunwell for months again now but there's still only 350ish guilds that killed Kil'jaeden at this moment in time. That's at least way more then the number of guilds that killed Kel'thuzad pre-TBC but yeah... they obviously want to give a bit more people the chance to see all of the raid content in this game.
No words for stupid crap like a dance studio thou... I mean a barber is cool to change the appearance of your char every once in a while. But a dance studio? The way I read it they are going to waste tons of time on this silly project. Time they should be investing in designing additional raid content or an extra battleground. I mean we are getting 1 new BG... WTF?
WSG/AV got implemented at the start of the summer of 2005, like 3 months later they already came up with AB. Then we had to wait for over a year to get something new... now we've been waiting for nearly 2 years and we get 1 BG? >.> I don't understand how they fail to see that battlegrouds are by far one of the most boring things to do in this game atm & instead they choose to waste their time on stupid crap like dance studio's instead of trying to make it more enjoyable to do some Battlegrounds again.

When someone finally tells me what's wrong with the first (as far as I see it) hugely successful MMO trying to cater to three major groups (hardcore, semi-hardcore, and casual) while still being the biggest, most expansive, highly rated, and easily accessible game of it's nature -- then, then my friend, I will give a f*ck about the idiots that use the term casual in reference to being bad -- which is what you're doing right now.
Until that time; you transfer your Tauren Shaman to my server. Go ahead. I play tops 8 hours a week, don't raid, and couldn't care less about Arthas. I am casual. I will mop the floor with you about knowledge of the game, encounters, areas, NPCs, quest lines, or just in general PVP. Now or after 3.0.2. I will wipe the floor with you.
In before "lol@urrating" & "lol@urgear"
I switched to Ret from raiding Holy a couple of months ago -- and everything you see on me has been built since then. One of the many reasons I love the "Hybrids can do all three" arguments. Look at my shitty gear -- I have T5/T6 Holy gear. This is not equivelant for Ret. Also, don't comment on my Arena rating -- lol -- I do naked "points" arenas for two weeks, then remake the team for the free gear. Takes 20 minutes and I got a full Holy set out of it back when I still healed.

Don't forget they are with Activision now... I bet it was their idea.
So will the Dance studio be played on 360 and in arcades?

I love how some think the barbar shop is cool so you can change apperance every once in a while, but the dance studio is stupid when its the same exact concept applied to dances. World of warcraft has always been much more then simply queue a bg and form a raid group. Any game that just focuses on that would never be so succesful in todays market.

Are you nuts? Of course it will be next year. 3.1 in february, 3.2 in april and 3.3 in june.
But apart from that
"... but adding even a single dance animation for a race takes as much time as creating a new creature for the game. "
I wonder if Blizzard had just programmed a rather incompetent system in place. You have something like City of Heroes where the player can essentially chose among thousands of different characters, tall, short, thin, round, with wings or feathers or scales or spikes, robot arms etc, and they all get the animations, and they seem to add new all the time.
Wish we had a proper hug animation though.

They don't WANT to introduce more battlegrounds, they fear that it only means fewer people playing the individual battleground and thus longer queues.
But yes, they could and probably should retool some of the reward mechanics of the current battlegrounds.

Remember son: it's World of W.A.R.craft after all... but wait? People are making love not WAR? People are scared to death because there will be a PvP area even on non-pvp realms or because the ally king will declare war once again. WTF? Come on! It's already ridiculous that mighty warriors, sneaky rogues and evil warlocks are doing a tourist guy job for orphans, chasing Cupid or whatever, dating and dancing around and acting like teenagers, while all NPCs are keep talking about the Legion, the Scourge, etc... Do you think these cutesy things really fit a war-filled world? o_O
Anyway, i don't really care of your kind, feel free to keep on cybering 8 hours per week... i just pray for Blizz not to make the game more and more cute and stupid!
