I like the fact a retribution Paladin was among those who killed Kil'jaeden. So much for them being frowned upon.

Congrats, and it's nice to see a raid make up that utilises some of the considered "off-specs". I play a retri pally myself and it's good to know that there are some guilds who believe they are useful (even if it is only one per raid).

I think it's quite silly tbh, taking anohter class instead of a retri pala will ALLWAYS benefit the raid more, no matter what you say.

Hand of the Deceiver, it have dropped 4 out of 4 kills. lol? Smells like a bug in that loot table. Think the roprate should be around 10%, not 100%. :D

Grats on the kill. I had no idea someone in the Vindication battlegroup was that far in progress. Was fun seeing someone I saw in BGs this weekend listed - Slawnik.

Squishface - Malygos

PS: In response to Tharka: I could see how they needed a 2nd paladin buff and a prot warrior would have brought less to the encounter. Bringing a holy paladin would have subtracted from an OP resto shaman slot most likely.

Seems the further one progresses, the more useless mages get.

That's so wrong in so many ways.

When ret paladins can push 2200 dps on brutallus (which is more than arms warriors do and 200ish less than the best dual warglaive furies), bringing a ret pally on an hard fight where 3% raid crit and mana and health regeneration for the whole raid will be quite handy.
If you're willing to take 1400 dps shadowpriests for utility, not taking 1800 dps ret paladins makes very little sense.

I guess most fury warriors are bad! 2900 dps by a fury warrior? (ok so he had fist off KJ :P )

Highest dps recorded for brutallus from a fury warrior is 2662. The average is around 2400. The highest recorded for a ret paladin is about 2200, averaging between 1900 and 2000.

Considering the impact warglaives have on that fight, and considering the obscene difference in utility between a ret paladin and a fury warrior, I don't see who could consider a ret paladin any less useful.

I wonder where you get these numbers... cause when I look arround on WWS reports I see ret paladins doing 1700-1900 on Brutallus. I think you are looking at blood knights only cause the average paladin is doing far from 2k DPS from what I can see.

Anyway from what I can see on Kil'jaeden, it's wise to limit the amount of paladins you take, which is actualy to general trend looking at the top 4. I dunno how other guilds are expierencing it but the stuns on the "class calls" are very annoying. I guess you could just limit the amount of holy paladins & take a retribution one instead...
