Update: This of course also means the new Battle.net is now in beta as well, so I'll try to post some thoughts on that after hours upon hours of playing StarCraft II.

Title says it all, folks! I'm downloading the beta as we speak, and will be updating this news with more details as I have them. I've personally been waiting for this day for closing in on 12 years, so I'm super stoked, and know a lot of you are too. Expect LOTS of screenshots and videos.

This phase of beta includes the random opt-ins, and from the sound of it, there are a LOT of people being added to the beta.

Apparently, Blizzcon 2008 gifts (which came with a beta key) weren't all included with the first passing of beta handouts. Looks like many will have to wait for the second or third beta wave. :*(

SC2 Boards are all lit up with this craziness. Many threads being trolled and deleted by moderators and CMs that have only made one response, ... would you wait already?!

Some Blizzcon keys were given out but not all. It seems keys from the first wave are still going out and will keep coming through the night so I wouldn't give up hope yet. Overall there is quite a bit they still gotta give out this week. The first wave is the largest so it can take a while as it includes press, some opt-ins, a large amount of special invites (Blizzcon), and the fansites.

But yes I want my pony now dammit.
