Back in the day, I was a systems designer, so I have an inkling of how difficult it is to incorporate new things into an existing and expanding system like WoW.

However, I have to ask Ghostcrawler and the other guys...

Are you getting tired of thinking up spell proc names?

"Icecrown Ring Reputation Healing Effect"... really?
"Flash Heal!" -- 4 piece priest gear proc.

LOL guys.

Back when I was designing systems, I had things like that in my code as place holders. "MachineEndAffectorOutofBoundsHere" ... or some such thing, to be replaced by the real code later. (no comment if I ever got around to actually putting real variable names in place for all the place holders in the code I wrote). *cough*

Anyway... love the game and the new toys guys. Doing a great job despite having to deal with an vastly ungrateful user base.

I think in most cases procs don't usually have real names unless it's something you visually see as a spell. I'd much prefer them to continue calling stuff "Healer ring proc" since I only see its effect text rather than them spending time coming up with unique names.

That is probably why they keep it that way. Much easier to find out what happens/went wrong when digging through the combat logs, and it also makes the work for mod developers quite easier.

I also think it is way cooler with those types of names. Best ever must be the name on the door in naxx spider wing

But really, I love the spell names on procs, they are as imaginitive as quests at times

Mage 2 part T10, 12% haste for 5 seconds, it's called "Pushing the Limit"

and Mage 4 part T10, 18% damage increase for 30 seconds when using Mirror Image...
