Patch 3.3: PTR Patch Notes Updated - November 10th, 2009

The 3.3 PTR patch notes were updated again. There wasn't really anything major in the update except for rogues (sort of). There's a very good chance we'll see this patch released within the next 2-3 weeks.

Quote from: Blizzard (Source)

    Update: 11.10.2009
Druids: Gift of the Earthmother note clarified
Paladins: Sanctified Light (changed reverted based on update to Lay on Hands)
      Rogues: Murder
Items: Glyph of Victory Rush note corrected

Druids

  • Talents
    • Restoration
      • Gift of the Earthmother: Redesigned. This talent now increases spell haste by 2/4/6/8/10% and reduces the base global cooldown of Lifebloom by 2/4/6/8/10% instead of its previous effects.

Paladins

  • Talents
    • Holy
      • Sanctified Light: This talent now also has a 33/66/100% chance to prevent Lay on Hands from causing Forbearance when Lay on Hands is used on others.

Rogues

  • Talents
    • Assassination
      • Murder: This talent now provides a flat damage increase of 2/4% against all targets, instead of only targets which do not appear in Icecrown.

Items

  • Glyphs
    • Warriors
      • Glyph of Victory Rush: This glyph now increases the critical strike chance of Victory Rush by 30%, regardless of the percentage of the target’s remaining health.

Guild Recruitment Updates

We pushed another patch last night for the guild recruitment tool including a few bug fixes, changes, and new things. We're now focusing on further improvements to raid time filtering and 10-player guild enhancements. From the patch notes thread:

  • Search Filters
    • Raid times in search results will now be converted to the chosen time zone. The time zone will default to EST currently (and thus convert raid times to their EST values), though more improvements are planned for this.

  • Guild Management
    • The maximum time allowed before you must refresh your guild's listing to remain published has been increased from 7 to 14 days.

  • Guild Progress
    • Increased the number of members required before a guild is given credit for progress. This number can still be tweaked if need be, but it should be more accurate now. Please let us know if you're still being given credit you shouldn't receive in this thread.
    • Removed "He Feeds On Your Tears" (no deaths during lockout) from 25-player progress tracking for real this time.

  • Bug Fixes
    • Fixed an issue with Russian guilds not having their world rank pulled from WoWProgress properly.

Guild Administrator's text field is still bugged. Whenever I just try to enter my name, it adds another name that has my name as "characters" within a larger name. For example my name is "Evel" and it keeps putting someone named "Ilsevele" in the box.

If you're already an admin that's probably why. You can't add yourself twice.

The search tool seems to have the right UI, but it doesn't seem to be working properly. I see two problems, both of which are visible in this search result:

http://www.worldofra...#ibtFTRislO1Fg;

1) In the US, guilds seem to not understand 24hr time, which is causing them to list their guilds as raiding from something like "04:30 to 08:40" when they mean "4:30pm to 8:30pm" or "16:30 to 18:30". I recommend changing the UI where guilds register to show both 12hr and 24hr time simultaneously, or require the user to choose which they prefer before entering their times.

2) The search results don't seem to be correct. You can see in the search above that I was looking for guilds that raid anytime between "10:00 and 16:00 PST weekdays", or in 12hr time "10am and 4pm". However, the first search result displayed is obviously not in that timeframe under either interpretation, as it raids "04:30-08:30" three days a week. (In addition to the search bug, that first guild seems to also have fallen victim to #1 above)

Thanks, it looks like when vjeux rewrote the raid time filter algorithm a pretty bad bug crept in. Those guilds without raid times definitely shouldn't show up above some of the other results.

And you're right, it does indeed look like people don't understand military time. We'll have to clarify that.
