Several classes can use Quel'Delar, and the sword can fit several different play styles. For any class that is unable to wield it, however, the Sunreaver blood elves and the Silver Covenant high elves will gladly take this relic of their history in exchange for a usable weapon.
Interested to know the classes able to use it and what it will make, alternatively those that are uanble to use... can exchange for something they can. Definately is something to watch and see waht becomes of it

Chao discovered that the other rewards are a MH (likely caster) mace, 1h (likely Agility) Mace, and a 2H (likely Agility) mace. There are 4 types of swords to choose from if you get Quel'delar itself.

Even if they're not quite as good as ICC25 weapons, you'll probably still see a LOT of Quel'delars around. ToC25's only weapon for a mage has hit on it, and I so far haven't been lucky enough to win the roll (for which like 7 people roll every time, including every healer) for the heroic ToC10 dagger, so I'm still using an Ulduar25-level weapon, and assuming there's a spellpower version of Quel'delar WITHOUT hit (please dear god be one), will almost definitely be rushing to get it when the patch releases.

Wonder how this is going to stack up to raiding weapons. Furthermore, does this mean that we'll have every person in the game running around with a Quel'delar?
I'd guess the iLvL will be comparable or a bit higher than what comes out of the Icecrown 5 man. I doubt it will be superior to raiding weapons such as what comes out of ToC hard modes for example though. It seems more like a reward for non raiders, those that raid more casually and alts (I'll definitely make sure to get it on my pally and dk alts).

I feel your pain with the abundance of +hit on mage gear. Its driving me absolutely nuts. I'm struggling to replace hit with haste/crit. I recently picked up the Mageblade off Ony 25 and I'm assuming thats its going to carry me into Icecrown 10/25 so I'm struggling to replace other items with some haste.
