Guild Recruitment Patch Notes

We patched the guild recruitment tool this weekend with some bug fixes and a few requested features, so I've included the notes below for what we added to make everyone aware. We still have a few bugs and new features to add in before we're ready to consider this in a release state, so please don't hesitate to leave us feedback.

And as a reminder, you need to refresh your guild once a week or it will no longer be listed in search results (until you click refresh). You can do this by clicking the "Refresh" link on your guild page, located in the Publish button. This is done to ensure recruitment information does not become stale and misleading for players searching for guilds.

October 26th, 2009

  • General
    • The search filters have been reorganized slightly to make room for an upcoming option to display only 10 or 25 player guilds.
    • Tribute to Immortality and He Feeds On Your Tears are no longer tracked in the progression section because gimmick achievements like that suck and have nothing to do with progression.
    • You must now be logged in to your World of Raids account to apply to a guild that has chosen to receive applications by PM or email.

  • Bug Fixes
    • The name and realm text filter now accepts special characters (e.g. apostrophes)
    • The search results page will no longer show page numbers with navigation while the results are still loading.

October 25th, 2009

  • General
    • You can now add administrators to your guild, based on their World of Raids account. Simply visit your guild page in edit mode and there will be a new box to enter additional administrators.
    • A Name & Realm filter has been added to Search Filters. This will allow you to filter to only see guilds based on a guild or realm name.
    • The double arrows on page navigation for results will now move you 5 pages rather than 1.

  • Bug Fixes / Improvements
    • Holding down shift while dragging the world ranking (to update the list real-time) has been improved and is now much smoother.
    • The maximum number of pages is now properly set to 1000 with no filters used. It was previously 50 (meaning only 500 guilds would actually show up).

October 24th, 2009

  • Deleting a guild now works properly.
  • Many previously missing realms have been added.

Rare Spawn Raptor Nests

Thanks to Shdwsnake we have a bit more information on the rare spawn raptor nests. For those unaware of this change, the rare raptors that drop the raptor non-combat pets will no longer do so after 3.3; the pets will instead spawn in a lootable nest nearby.

Item

[*]Hatchlings: Leaping, Darting, Razormaw, and Ravasaur Hatchlings no longer drop from their associated rare creatures. Instead, there are now rare nests that spawn which contain these hatchlings. For example, the Leaping Hatchling can now be found in Takk’s Nest rather than as a drop from Takk the Leaper.
    [/list]

Shdwsnake spent some time on the PTR and learned the following about the nests, for those of you that haven't gotten your raptor pets yet.

Personal Notes:

  • Both the nests and rare spawn raptors can be up at the same time.
  • Rare spawn raptors no longer drop the mini pets; they can only be obtained from the nests.
  • 100% loot chance for the mini pets from nests.
  • Nests can only spawn near the location of the rare spawn raptors but not always in the same spot (almost certain).
Example: Dart's nest can only be found around the location where Dart spawns even if it's not in the same spot where it last spawned.
  • Nest spawn timer is about the same as rare spawn raptors on LIVE realms.
