Probably not. The Lich King existed BEFORE Frostmourne. Frostmourne isnt what makes one the Lich King, people need to remember that. All the Frostmourne did was turn Arthas into a Death Knight. It wasnt until he dawned the armor, and fused with nerzhul, that he became the Lich King.

So when Arthas and Nerzhul are dead, the Lich King is over. Destroyed. Defeated.

No Frostmourne existed before the Lich King and was created by Legion. It's already been stated my Metzen several times that Arthas will die but the Lich King itself will not.

Quote

"Frostmourne is an artifact of great evil and tremendous might, forged by demons to hold the Lich King's powers. Ner'zhul thrust the blade out of the Frozen Throne and masterminded it finding its way into Arthas' hands. Desperate for any power that might defeat the Scourge, the arrogant prince Arthas took possession of the runeblade and in doing so sealed his doom as Ner'zhul had planned."

Quote

"Ner'zhul's spirit was magically shackled to a suit of ancient armor and bound to the mighty runeblade Frostmourne. To ensure Ner'zhul's obedience, Kil'jaeden sealed the armor and blade within a specially crafted block of ice collected from the far reaches of the Twisting Nether."

First, when did he ever say that?

Secondly, how? If Arthas and Nerzhul are dead, whats left of the Lich King?

and if thats the case, why? Do you really think theyd release a future expansion called Wrath of the Lich King 2?

You don't necessarily have to call the person "the next Lich King." That was mostly for familiarity sake more than anything else, and I think too many people are reading into that too much because I used that in the title. :)

But how do you define a Lich King then?

If Tirion picks up Frostmourne and gains all of the LK's powers but isn't corrupted, does that count?

Instead it will be 'Wrath of the Lich Queen'!

What "Wrath of the Lich King" is NOT.

Wrath of the Lich Queen

Lawlerskates. I would use that setting in context of Jaina, although she is very "uncorruptable" if WCIII is anything to go by. But she has the credentials as well as the power. Note she as toted as one of the most powerful female magi in the entirety of Azeroth (this is obviously discounting the Naga mages under Aszhara, as well as our favorite, screwed up in the head, NE Queen)

Well, he actually said probably not. And I think he's changed his mind, seeing as Arthas is unchallenged for the title of Lich King after destroying Ner'zhul
