Tier-10 Armor: Just Put A Bag On It

Colors should be dark blueish, grays, blacks, blood red... Royal combinations like red/white/gold or blue/black/gold for clothies and paladins. Imo at least, not this back-end of the Microsoft Paint spectrum kind of poo/puke/puss looking stuff that we've seen since T7.
And what happened to cool looking decorations to armor, like the T5 Lock set or the T1 Might shoulders... Everything seems standard mold model with your run in the mail fel flame/glow from the shoulders and eyes.
God I don't get how Blizzard can think this stuff is good looking. WoW may be miles ahead of other MMO's in terms of gameplay but the only reason I'm sometimes half tempted to switch to other MMO's is because their player armor just looks so damn more awesome.

The colours are much better than they used to be. Are they as good as other products? Well, I'm certainly not arguing against that, but would those products fit into the environment that WoW offers?

For the players who stayed through the rehash of Naxx, and the visible lack of effort in TOGC, you'd think the gear sets would have a little more flair and polish.
To be honest, the way Blizzard has been making gear more accessible I fully expect a set of T10 via mail and a "Thanks for all the fish!" note at the end.

The hunter set is ofcourse parts of Nerubians stitched together. It looks more nature then mail normally does because it's made of chitin, which was already part of hunter/shaman mail around level 40.
Rogue is simply gheist, nothing to say about that.
Warrior is Vrykul. The boar is a direct link to King Ymiron who wears a boar head piece on his chest. http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=24321#.
The druid set is probably linked to the caputered green dragon. Most likely it's corrupted as the plants on the set look corrupted.
DK set is just another version of the theme. Maybe we'll see DK's with similar styled gear in Icecrown Citadel?
That just leaves the question what other themes are used in Citadel, because the other sets will be linked to those. Two themes immediatly spring into my mind, namely the Cult and Cyndragosa the frost wyrm broodmother.

I think you really went over the edge with this blog imo, all of the sets looks awesome except Hunters, they wear Mail not wooden sets.
Druids set is one of the coolest out there because it just look so unique and that's what I love with the druid sets overall. The helmet made me think about that Druids don't really need a "normal" vision because they got the nature to guide them! It's just a thought I had, even if it wouldn't be like that I'm still going to stick to it for my own fantasy world
Don't really know why you didn't mention the warrior set, I think it's worth mentioning. It just looks badass and the helmet is a really strong piece in the set. It's one of the coolest helms I've seen on a warrior set by a long time.
The rogue set is perfect and it was in the part in your blog where you talked BS about the rogue set that made me really pissed. It's pretty much perfect that set and it works really well with the lore as well. All the sets we've seen so far is a resemble on the atmosphere of Icecrown Citadel, it looks like it could've been made in the fortress tbh.
The DK set is really looking cool and I agree with all that it's something missing and that's the helmet ofc and I think it will look really cool with that final part. Even though I think the other gears that we've seen at this point is a bit more unique because the whole skull part on gears is starting to setting the mark "getting old". But it's perfect because Lich King himself (A DK) has a lot of skulls on his armor as well so I think it's the perfect way to go for the DK set. So nothing wrong here imo just getting a bit weary the skull part, just saying ^^.
Well this was all my thoughts on the blog and tbh I stopped reading on the rogue part, you lost my interest a lot and it would be awesome with some more appreciation and some more thought to the sets

What i am trying to say is u can find a connection between a set and a class pretty easily (I am sure warrior's right glove resembles the upper part of teh right horn of sindragosa before she died and become corrupted which symbolizes ofc the glimmer of hope of all Azeroth against the Lich king. GZ BLIZZ i am touched!, (see how easy that was?;p)) but that doesn;t make it neither cool nor nice by default.

The warrior set is wonderful helm and shoulders are perfect.
The druid set looks bad and ugly, the worse, except on the tauren. That's why the shoulders are not attached to the neck, and looks very bad positioned. If you watch the NE female druid you can see how ugly looks her.
Also the druid chest texture looks low defined and horrors of horrors, the belt is thick like the ToGC cloth belts, which on female characters make them look pregnant and fat.

I've noticed that the textures on almost all of the sets are pretty low quality when compared to the other sets in Wrath. I was really hoping for more of an Icecrown feel to everything, not just a scourge feel. Chunks of unearthly ice, that pale blue-white glow, and the jagged, dark stone reflected in the armor. If you look back at the Black Temple sets they really captured the feel of the place is nearly every aspect.

Tbh, I think these sets looks pretty nice. They seem to fit pretty well with ICC and does generally stand out from many current items.
While it's strange to completely hide a characters face, I find both the rogue and druid set to look very interesting.
The only set I dislike is the dk set - it simply doesn't look that amazing and unique.
