Raiding UI Spotlight: XS UI
Last week I posted a raiding UI and the news was very well received, including me being contacted by others who have put together raid-oriented UI compilations. This week I'm continuing with a spotlight on a new UI. Excesse has decided to release their previously internal-only UI to the public, called XS UI. We have a big thread on the forums here that you can take a look at for more information; I've included links to the guide videos below.

Blue Posts
There have been quite a few blue posts since the patch went live. Here's a quick recap of the important ones.
Call of the Crusade Wallpaper (Source)
There were some issues (artistically) with the version that was put up and I believe we are looking into making a better version. Yes, I loved it too and downloaded it immediately.
Faction discounts for flying skill (Source)
Don't go to the Cold Weather Flying trainer. For Alliance you want the trainer in Valiance Keep right next to the flight path.
Just to clarify, you can get faction discounts on Expert and Artisan Riding by visiting the trainers in Honor Hold, Valiance Keep, Thrallmar, or Warsong Hold.
Built-in QuestHelper features (Source)
There were circumstances that required us to pull the quest tracking feature from patch 3.2. We plan to implement this interface feature in a future patch.
Faction-change Service (Source)
You'll have to select a race within the new faction, and the choices are dependent upon your character class.
Dungeons and Raids
Trial of the Crusader: Boss unlocks based on weekly maintenance, not kills (Source)
Unlocking the bosses pertains only to weekly maintenance. Right now one raid boss is available. Next Tuesday there will be two available, and so on. To unlock Trial of the Grand Crusader, at least one person in the raid has to have cleared Trial of the Crusader. This person can speak to an NPC to unlock Trial of the Grand Crusader and the tribute run.
Badge system changes explained (Source)
Trial of the Champion is the 5-player Crusaders' Coliseum dungeon. On normal mode this dungeon will reward no emblems or Champion's Seals. Heroic mode will reward one Emblem of Conquest and one Champion's Seal for each boss killed.
Trial of the Crusader is the 10- and 25-player normal mode raid dungeon. It will reward one Emblem of Triumph per boss.
Trial of the Grand Crusader is the Heroic version of the 10- and 25-player raid dungeon. At least one player in the raid must have completed Trial of the Crusader to unlock Trial of the Grand Crusader for the raid. It will reward one Emblem of Triumph per boss.
Each week following the patch one boss will be unlocked in the raid dungeon. So this week only one boss will be available; after next Tuesday's maintenance two bosses will be available, and so on.
The raid dungeon will have four separate raid lockouts (10-player, 10-player Heroic, 25-player, 25-player Heroic).
This and more is covered in our Crusaders' Coliseum and Isle of Conquest Q&A: http://w
All Heroic dungeons and raids released prior to 3.2 now drop Emblems of Conquest. The Heroic dungeon daily quest will award two Emblems of Triumph. The normal dungeon daily quest will award one Emblem of Conquest.
Argent Tournament
Crusader title restriction for new vendor (Source)
The items offered by the Argent Crusade quartermaster are on par with a lot of items that can be purchased with various emblems. In some cases, as with the heirloom items, they're the same as those offered for emblems. The idea of the Argent Tournament is to provide the solo player access to good loot, great rewards and a host of heirloom items on par with loot that otherwise requires at least 4 other players to obtain.
So it's a limiting factor. If you want to play solo rather than run dungeons or raids, we'll give you a chance to get many of the items available to those who do frequently run dungeons or raids. The trade-off though is that you have to commit to the Argent Tournament and prove yourself to be a Crusader in the fight against the Lich King in order to have access to the rewards the Argent Crusade has to offer.
Player versus Player
Experience gains in battlegrounds (Source)
This is something we're tracking very carefully. Due to the nature of the test realms, this wasn't a feature that had as much review as some of the other 3.2 features. The experience gains may well be too low right now, but if so they can be adjusted. Ultimately we would prefer for the gains to be on the low side at the beginning than on the high side. It's always better to ramp up than tone down. :)
Isle of Conquest: Alliance favortism? (Source)
When designing this Battleground, we very carefully laid out the map to ensure that the travel time to the key capture points is exactly the same. The distances were calculated and tested for the Horde and Alliance to keep them equivalent.
