Something tells me, that in this new 5-man dungeon. All in grp will have the "memory spell" cast on them, and will probably be "summoned" into their real bossroom and have to kill him/her solo.

OR

All in grp will have the same spell cast on them, fighting against same boss...but a buffed version ofc (well, maybe not a buffed Algalon or General :P). :)

OR

As already mentioned, a cutscene of some kind.

Its not to odd, listen to her sermon she gives every couple of minutes in the argent tent at the tourney. While the memories picked don't really have anything to do with her they all can be tied in some fashion to the sermon she gives. And it also serves the greater goal of the argent tourney. Forging weapons to battle the scourge by creating illusions of past epic battles.

It would be easy for the entire fight to be the memory. The spell, or whatever causes it, could just be cast by her at the start of the encounter. As I said before I highly doubt the encounter scans achievements/quests of people to see which ones were fought before. That just wouldn't work because it is possible to not fight all of the people on the list. Unlikely but possible.

If they are our memories they will just be "assumed" as much of the story in the game and stuff that builds on past story/events is. And besides nothing says they have to be memories of our characters. She could be creating memories from anyone. All that would takei s the magic to harness memories and create them kinda like a holodeck or harry potter style.

Look like it's gonna be a fun fight :)

She is also a reference to High Inquisitor Whitemane, last boss in SM Cathedral. She's just like an Argent Crusade version of Whitemane.

Probably a longshot here. But since there is a horde entrance and alliance entrance for the new dungeon. And that blizzard once said (in a post this was discussed, about a year ago, don't have any source, sorry :/ ) that a pvp/dungeon 5-man is an intresting idea they had been discussing (I guess he meant internal between staff).

Could this maybe be some kind of pvp/dungeon 5-man? You start on each side and work towards middle (and last boss). And the recent battlegroup merge will help to balance this between horde/alliance.

No clue how it would work, or how to make it "fun" for all that do it.

Already said even I think it's a longshot. :D So no need to try flame me for it. :D

Really looking forward to meet Hogger, since he just whitehits you at the moment. Im sure they will make him epic ;>
Would like to meet Nefarian to, cuz when i started wow (when BWL was hard as f**k) my friends kept telling me Nefarian was impossible and so on. And all the classonly-tactic was pretty cool, switch between 3 weps as a hunter, stay in cat(?) as a druid etc. :)

That's exactly what I was thinking, and I agree that would be really neat to have such a dynamic experience. Also, I think they could have put in some other more memorable bosses. I mean, really.. Mutanus? I really doubt there are many people here who even know who that is just from the name. It took me a while to recall him. It just doesn't seem to make much sense, so perhaps the memories won't be for battling at all.

Man the number of wipes there would be if the encounter was purely to jump down before all the guards run up the stairs, insane. I don't think I was ever in a pug where some clown didn't decide to AFK There.

I would love to see the bosses implemented as they were in the old instances. We will see.

I doubt they would balance all those bosses against 5man groups (or maybe even solo kills, like Volazj)
Those'll probably be just memories, cutscenes with maybe some jump 'n run elements to avoid dying, or, if you really have to fight them, NPCs with the same HP, starting to use some specific 10sec cast which would kill you, or spam a small-damage melee ability.
