Koralon the Flame Watcher Video Guide

A few days ago I posted a Koralon video from the PTR. This is the new boss in Vault of Archavon that will drop tier 9 and season 7 items. This particular video includes information on all of his abilities to give you an idea of what to expect.

3.2 PTR Video Compilation

Lostshard of US-Draenor has put together a compilation of videos on the forums, showing off his travels and testing of content on the PTR so far. There are 10 videos at this point, but you can probably expect more over the course of testing! Thanks to Lostshard for taking the time to do this.

Crusaders' Coliseum - A departure from raiding philosophy? (Source)

I don't see how adding in the Crusaders' Coliseum suggests to you we've suddenly departed from any core philosophy on raiding. It's a departure from dungeons like Naxxramas and Ulduar, to be sure, but the Crusaders' Coliseum layout doesn't signify the future of World of Warcraft raiding in the sense that we're ditching the idea of having trash pulls and expansive halls in which players must fight. If anything we simply expanded upon the ideas seen in the Ring of Blood or Amphitheater of Anguish, this time providing players with more epic challenges and a break from the standard raid format. Beyond that, the core values Jeff has discussed with BlizzCon audiences in the past have not been abandoned... aside from the fact that you will need a 2200 Arena rating in 3's or 5's to fight Arthas, which will take place entirely on Mechano-hogs as you chase him through the citadel (hint: the red shells track your target).

Differences between tank specs (Source)

It isn't a goal that all DK tanks have the same Stamina or the same Stamina as the other tank classes. We want the Frost vs. Blood choice to actually be an interesting one and not just a cosmetic one.

Likewise, we want the raid to react a little differently if a DK is tanking instead of a Feral druid. We want the choice of class you pick as a tank to be more than just art.

Upcoming Shield Specialization Change (Source)

In the next (hopefully) PTR build, we are going to try:

Shield Specialization: This warrior talent now provides 5 rage on block, dodge, and parry instead of 2 rage on block.

There might be other changes that we aren't ready to talk about.

---

In response to some of the comments, just remember the goal is not that warriors can ignore their resources and always have enough rage no matter what. You do have a resource bar. It is supposed to count. The goal with this particular change is that improving your tanking gear won't keep making it harder and harder to generate rage, especially when overgearing content. Rage starvation on a raid boss is rarely a big deal except in the first few seconds of the fight.

We don't, unless I'm forgetting something, ever ask you to do a tank transition on a taunt-immune boss, so needing to build up rage for purposes of doing a tank transition shouldn't be a big problem. If you can't do a ton of dps when not tanking, we are more sympathetic, but still understand that if you do amazing dps in a full tank set up then it makes dps classes look bad. If it really, really bothers you, you can always dual spec for those fights where you don't have to tank much or at all.

That wyrmling pet for champion seals looks a lot like the mana wyrmling sold in netherstorm for gold. Doesn't seem worth the seal cost imo.

Hopefully just a place holder, thought they would at least make it along the lines of something similar to the new arcane serpents :(

An arcane serpent pet would be awesome.

Ty for the blue post i would agree with most of it accept you guys made threat based off of damage, hence why locks mages hunters and boomkins have to watch their damage output or risk the chance of pulling off the tank.
2nd thing is i am an old school roleplayer from the table top days to the videogame area and with the exception of this game, ALL tanks have been able to do mnasive amounts of damage cause the developers realize that since thier threat systems is alo based off of damage, that the tanks need to be able to do a substantial amount of it, maybe not the top dps but def in the top 5. Why does blizzard not see this?

If the tank is in the top 5 in damage, why bring dps? You might as well just bring tanks and forget about overaggroing, since everyone can tank the boss if they do.
