The dedicated tier 9 armor sets page is now available in the guides section. To view the sets available for a class, click on the class icon. Note that there aren't any models for tier 9 yet, so I've just included stats for now. Once models are available, you can expect an update to the page similar to the tier 8 page.

This is the new boss added to Vault of Archavon in patch 3.2. More free tier sets!

New Heirloom Items

I know a lot of you were curious about the mount changes, but those aren't the only leveling-friendly changes going in with this patch. There's also a new batch of Heirloom items for the chest slot, and they have an experience bonus that stacks with Heirloom shoulders!

With 3.2 the quest log has been update, and there's also new functionality to display the general area for your objectives on the map. Check out some screenshots below for a preview.

If you have any undocumented changes that you've noticed, feel free to report them in the comments and I'll work on compiling a list. One thing I personally noticed is that the change to Dragon's Eye cuts to make them non-prismatic (i.e. they only count as red, blue, or yellow gems) actually went through, even though it wasn't in the patch notes.

So basically Blizz is adding another UI to take the place of a 3rd party mod. Questhelper still might give an optimized pathway, but this new interface takes out the need to search around for a quest objective...

I think in the same ways the built-in threat meter made Omen much better, this will help make QuestHelper much better (especially for accuracy's sake).

Digging through the Spells there are some new versions of some already existing Spells. It looks like some Ulduar (hard-mode) nerfs.

- Freya Adds only give 50% more Damage instead of 75% (new Essence of ... spells)
- Thorim's unbalancing strike only hits for 120% dmage and -100 def (not sure if it's 10 or 25 or both)
- XT-002 only gets +50% hp instead of +60% in hardmode (new Heartbraker buff)

I think he was already like that in the 10-man version. I recall seeing him at 7.5MHP after we killed the heart on our attempts.

Don't know about the 25-man version, though.

I've yet to see either WoR or MMO post numbers to the profession changes. So I'll post what EJ and I are talking about on the mage forums:

Quote

1) JC - Ok here is the biggest change in the professions. Dragon Eyes as we all know is losing it's prismatic effect. In it's place: 34 SP/Agility/Strength, etc. 20 MP5. 51 Stam 43 SPell Pen, 39 Spell Power, 68 Attack Power.

2) Tailoring - the Lightweave has been bumped to 295 SP proc.

3) Leatherworking - Fur Lining - AP = 130 AP, Fur Lining - Spell Power = 76, and Fur Lining Stamina = 102

4) Enchanting - Ring = Assault - 40 AP; Greater Spell power - 23 SP; Stamina = 30 Stam

5) Inscription - Shoulders: Axe = 120AP/15 Crit; Crag = 70SP/6MP5; Pinnacle = 60Dodge/15 Defense; Storm = 70SP/15Crit

6) Epic Gems - The Red gems now give 23 SP/Strength/Agility etc. The Blue stam gives 30 stamina. The splits (SP/Spirit) give 10 and 13.

It looks like Alchemy is going to be easier to get epic gems than Prospecting given that it only requires 3 rare gems to transmute 1 epic gem, and currently on the PTR there is NO cooldown for the transmute.

I did not look at engineering, and I can look that up if anyone asks.

In case people are wondering, the new epic gem patterns cost 5 JC tokens to learn each pattern. Plus the patterns can only be learned by 450+ JCers. At 72 total new patterns, that is a years worth of tokens.

Quote

1) The old singular raid advantage, the glove haste enchant, has been extended to a 12 second duration from 10. Still 340 haste, still 1 minute cooldown. The change in uptime moves it from the old 56.667 avg haste to 68 avg haste.
2) The parachute cloak enchants now add 27 spellpower, making it the same item value as 23 haste, but spellpower being more valuable per point this is a buff (much as the tailors trading haste for spellpower on their cloaks is).
3) The rocket boot enchant has been extended to 5 second duration (same old long cooldown though), and most importantly now come with Icewalker built in (12 hit 12 crit). Basically gives engineers a cheap and easy self-Icewalker with a speed boost perk.

...

* Alchemy - 47 spellpower - (172sp flask w/ mixology vs 125 baseline)

So there is a 20% exp increase? How long before Blizzard increases rest exp regen rate, or something else? I know they want people to "experience" the class, but why don't they start allowing rerolled characters to start at lvl 55. And, I KNOW, people will say that noobs won't know how to play the class, but I see plenty of people now that have wither bought characters, or used the referral xp gain bonus and have no clue how to play their class.

There is now a features tab in the interface options that the options to turn on equip manager and "talent calculator" now call home.

Hopefully they will, and hopefully it hasn't happened yet because they want to make it more interesting than everyone starting at a capital city at level 55.

Imagine there being a significant race based introduction. Gnomes starting at 55 during the evacuation of Gnomeragan. Draenei trying to get on to the Exodar in Netherstorm. There are significant told, but unseen, stories for the all the races.

If Blizz do see the idea of starting at level 55 as a good option, this is the way it must be done. It would be unforgivable to just give us level 55 premades with no explanation.

I agree Deployed. It would utterly rape the already shattered lore in some cases if they just GAVE us 55 premades with no story. It might be a better experience lore wise if they do what you say, for example.
