In the next major content patch we will be adding a few methods of improved transportation to areas of interest while leveling.

It is time for the denizens of Azeroth to witness the full might of the Horde as they do what they do best: employ goblins to construct zeppelin towers and float players across vast seas using sky boats. That's right, a new zeppelin route is being added in Thunder Bluff and will transport players to Orgrimmar. Isn't technology magnificent?

Also, brought to you by Azeroth's greatest users of magic, are all new portals coming to Stormwind and Orgrimmar. These portals will transport players directly to the Stair of Destiny at the Dark Portal. Travel is just so much more convenient when it's instantaneous! Players will then find that a new connecting flight path exists at the Stair of Destiny allowing players new to Outland easy and direct access to the city of Shattrath.

Keep your seat backs and tray tables in a full upright and locked position, and we hope you continue to enjoy your methods of travel in Azeroth and beyond!

this is just a longer way of telling us "3.2 will suck, start leveling alts.."
Life is meaningless. It's in death that we are truly tested.

I was just thinking about that. there's supposed to be this big secret instance but they're doing so much to make leveling more tolerable.

Oh well. I've always wanted a max level healer class but with the slow travel AND slow killing, I couldn't do it. Maybe now I'll finally get it done.

Zepplin from Thunderbluff to Org? Wow. Not like it didn't take 2 minutes to fly there on a bat anyways...

I kind of agree with Zanduby, when does the Alliance get any sort of easy method to get to their ridiculously out-of-the-way Darnassus and Exodar? The horde's cities are all pretty well connected via zepplins (Now. Not that it was hard to fly from TB to Org like I said before.) And they have the orb from Silvermoon to UC and back.

(I play both Horde and Alliance, I also know that it's harder for Horde to play certain aspects of the game, but there's no reason for to of the Alliances cities to be so out of reach no one ever uses them.)

And yes, as always, obligatory: "WoW is easy."

I don't know, all lv80 raid instance difficulty aside it makes sense for Blizzard to do this. The amount of people I see running around using RAF (meaning they have actually had to go out and buy a new account) to level has been crazy and is kind of a pointer to Blizzard that a lot of people that have played WoW for years are starting to get bored of the 1-60 zones so anything to make them slightly less monotonous (without just giving lv55 alts making lower level zones redundant, and without wrecking the point of RaF and giving the option to players).

I honestly don't see whats so bad with having cheaper mounts at lower levels, some of the runs used to be crazy and would take soo long, it's not like people are going to see less of the game (granted flying from lv60 in Outlands will but still makes 60-70 faster so I won't complain).

Yes. Its obviously easy to travel from IF to Darn. My point is that I don't really see them putting in quicker traveling for Alliance, But more and more zeppelins for the horde.

Currently there is no form of transportation for low level characters (without the flight path, obviously) other than just plain running through a level 10-20 zone.

Not only is it a long ass walk, but its pretty much suicide for anyone that is under level 15. I don't recall there being any potential threats on the Tram or Auberdine boat... do you?

I don't think a travel nerf is a way of saying 3.2 will suck.

The TB zep really is long overdue. Now Tauren alts can abandon Mulgore without the Barrens run, because questing in Mulgore really really sucks.

I can't possibly see why you should complain about this change, unless it's makes you feel more elitist to have lvl'ed without the quicker travel system.
Tbh, lvl'ing alts isn't really fun for most of us old school players that's been around for years, so I welcome any change that makes this easier.
When you talk about the actually difficulty lvl of WoW you should think of endgame PvE or PvP tbh, not small changes that makes the life easier for alts...

Does anyone know if the DK flying mount will have its price reduced also?

Not being funny, but surely all those classes get speed leveling easy mode enough as it is...

Other classes like....

Warriors, Rogues, Mages and Priest dont have any speed abilities at all...

Surely it would be better for "ALL" classes to have something like a 30% speed increase whilst outside of Battlegrounds until level 60 or something...

giving specific classes that "Already" have speed increases an even bigger leveling advantage is surely unfair?

thats just my opinion which im sure other peeps will share with me.

Thanks

It's great for those of us leveling alts (though they always seem to make these changes right after I've leveled my latest alt beyond the usefulness of them) I just worry that if they keep up this pace of lowering level requirements for things that WoW will become even more overrun with people who simply don't have the playing experience to properly play their classes.
