Oh shut up, this change was far from neccessary 2 years ago. 2 Years ago there were loads of people still levelling in outlands, and having the flying mount so early would have totally killed the game at that point.
Plus, this would seriously be a 5 minute change. No balance concerns, no Texture changes.
Why is there always at least 1 person who cry's about every little change? Are you a little girl? because you sound like one.

Of course I am complaining, because the "old" system sucks. The new one is really necessary and of course I like it. If you like the old system, then I guess you're still flying around with a 60% flying mount and enjoying the WoW scenery in slow motion. The difference between 60% and 280/310% mounts is huge and IMO imbalanced.
I don't believe 100% mounts would have killed the game. It's just a moneysink issue back in time. If they allowed to fly around with a 100% mount, the people would say "100% flying mount is OK for me, I don't need an upgrade (to 280) since it doesn't matter if you're riding the ground mount or flying".
The normal mount speed should have been at least 100%, not 60%. I'm glad they are changing this one (after 2 years), so it's really nice for alts and new people in World of Warcraft.

Yeah, I don't know if I completely agree with upgrading normal flying mounts from 60% to 150%... Stack that with a 1.5 second casting speed... PVP in outlands and northrend is now going to be a thing of the past.
You are not talking about PVP you are talking about "I want to kill people who don't want to fight me"
Your fate will be orbital bombardment.

Ah, the days of running everywhere as a lowbie are over. Fair enough, I say. People who played a highly populated Classic WoW will have memories of running everywhere and saving forever to get an epic mount. I think this is a good change, and as we are four years and three ex-packs in, it does not affect game play on the higher level content. Good job, Blizz.

While I can say that Blizz is doing a great thing for newer players and whatnot, it still bites that on my very first character i had to grind my way to level 40 and get that 100g the hard way. Now, its as simple as, get in the game, level a few times, heres your mount. It just kinda bites for the older players. Not to mention, if you look back, all the quests in outlands would have been so much easier if you had even a 60% mount. This would make alts and newcomers life better whereas we, the veterans, had to again, work our asses off. It would make questing easier for sure, and who knows? Maybe thats was what Blizz wanted.
