World First 25-player Algalon the Observer by Ensidia

Posted Image

Congratulations to Ensidia of EU-Magtheridon on their world first kill of 25-player Algalon the Observer!

Loot: Bulwark of Algalon, Constellus, Cosmos, Reply-Code Alpha

So Algalon finally surrendered to us and it was a great feeling to finally take him down.

It is not an easy fight, it's highly gear dependent and is a significant difficulty increase over the 10 man version. Weirdly enough the kill really wasn't a great try! We had been having no trouble at all keeping tanks alive, wiping mainly to enrage and random deaths. One chaotic try later though we managed to bring him down. I'll be writing a blog with a run down of exactly how Algalon went for us over the weeks.

Lol most hard core? Have you ever tryed another mmo? When wow started everybody was laughing at it because it was so easy to reach max lvl. In most games max level takes atleast a year in wow it can be done in a matter of weeks if not days.

Wow has always been known as the most casual mmo ever! And please dont start another hard core vs casual there have already been 21830821 of them and they never end!

edit: gz even though I like to cheer for any other guild just because I like cheering for the underdog.

WoW is WoW, other games are other games. Stop comparing WoW with other mmo's.

agreed, in other mmorpgs it does take alot longer to level

I havn't done Algalon myself, or any 25man hardmodes but im pretty sure all the new ulduar content pales in comparison to the skill level required to fully clear the new warhammer Tomb King instance. Most of the lesser pve content requires alot more skill too. WoW has gotten really soft.

anyways, gratz on the kill.

When a game is new and people are still learning things encounters seem harder. For example when you look back at vanilla content most of it isn't what I would call hard but was hard at that time because of the mechanics in the fight being new and the game itself still being new.

Now sure the content now isn't super hard but I do know most people look back at vanilla WoW with rose colored goggles (nostalgia does that).

I was refering to warhammer's lesser pve content like Bilerot and The Screaming Cat. Not vanilla WoW

But you were mentioning how 'wow has gotten soft' and the same logic about vanilla WoW can be applied to a 'new' game like Warhammer.

But what can be said. With the gear that members in Ensidia have. Give those characters to a casual guild, and see how they do in Ulduar....lol? Or give the gear to a hardcore guild...less hardcore than Ensidia ofc...they would not stand a chance against Firestarter, Firefighter...Algalon. Much because they are less skilled. Or...well they would ahve a chance ofc, because someone else in same gear did it already. But it would take them alot longer time to clear it.
I'm pretty sure we wont see world second Algalon 25 within 2 weeks...will take 3..maybe 4 weeks until next.

Method downed him shortly after Ensidia. But I think you're right in general. There probably won't be a flood of guilds downing him in the first few weeks.

"good games" meaning WoW

"bad games" meaning anything challenging and anything with less then a 10 million player base (10mil?...Proof of no God)

being a Blizzard game probly is a requirement too,

Keep doin the 15 dollar dance!

Peace

Actually I have tried finding another MMO to play but unfortunately there are not any good MMOs currently out (although I did enjoy LoTRO). Just because I do not like Warhammer does not mean I or anyone else is a fanboy incapable of finding another game but only that there is no other game out there that is 'better' than WoW currently. I personally am really looking forward to FF14 and Knights of the Old Republic next year.

Of course I do not expect to have a mature intelligent debate with someone who ends up throwing around insults when someone does not agree with them.
