Yogg-Saron World First Kill

Update (4:20AM PDT): Ensidia just killed Yogg-Saron, making them the first guild to kill him and also complete Heroic: The Secrets of Ulduar.  Congratulations to them!  Loot: Earthshaper, Shawl of Haunted Memories, Mantle of the Wayward Conqueror, Mantle of the Wayward Vanquisher, Fragment of Val'anyr.  Visit their IRC to congratulate them!

I'd expect that to be the case. The fact that Yogg-Saron took this long to die is promising, not just for Algalon, but hard modes in general once the bugs are fixed.

Allright. So Yogg Saron has been killed, grats to them! But what when Yogg Saron died ? It's not like he just dropped. For us lore whores, what happened afterwards and what's his connection with The Lich King ? And I guess Northrend didn't got destroyed.

Looking at how long they took to kill Yogg, and the major buffs that you gain from the easy mode, and that Algalon doesn't have an easy mode. I expect Algalon to take quite some time :D

I'm still up in the air about hard mode Yogg also. The buffs you get are SO strong, I think it might take quite a while to get him down.

Ok, so how long were Ensidia struggeling with YS tonight? :) I bet they never went to bed and finished it today?

LOL whats up with that Shawl of Haunted Memories, It's a 6 crit rating downgrade over the Kel'Thuzad Cape of the Unworthy Wizard.

It's also the exact same ilvl. 6 crit rating traded for 4 intellect.

I have the say, I'm mildly disappointed that the loot quality is the same as Kelthuzad.

Was this Yogg-Saron normal or hard mode?

I'm not sure I completely understand how this works, but if it is easy mode, why would Ensidia rush into an easy mode fight, if it means they need to wait a week before trying for Hard Mode?

Or maybe i missed something?

Its not like ensidia is not attempting hard mode.

Because they dont have super geared alts/members who missed original raid.

they might even have planned for both kills.
