Patch 3.1 Mounts

Quite a few mounts are being added in patch 3.1!  This should make the Mountain o' Mounts ( / ) achievement a bit easier to complete.  However, remember that two of these mounts are being introduced to replace the Plagued Proto-Drake and Black Proto-Drake mounts with the new Ulduar achievements, since they're being removed from Glory of the Raider.

Sea Turtle is reportedly going to be 133% in water, but currently it's listed as 60% in the data files.  There has also been a Venomhide Ravasaur mount added, but no source has been discovered, so it's probably not implemented yet.

If you keep up with the Blue Tracker, you already know this, but the maintenance notice on login has offered a second confirmation that 3.1 is not coming out tomorrow, April 7th.

Sartharion +3 Melee Zerg Runs

It looks like Sartharion +3 drake melee zerg runs are becoming quite popular after last week's report of Russian players doing it in the 10-player version of Obsidian Sanctum.  Congrats to Pinetree Pioneers on a 76-second kill, Excesse for a 77-second kill, and Ðeadline for an 83-second kill.  The 83-second kill video is embedded below.  Can anyone top 76 seconds?!

Note: Charlise is an alt and was only brought because the guild's main feral was not available.  Hence the poor dps; not many items are enchanted at the moment.

They're faction bound. The pets aren't soulbound though, so you could realistically purchase them from the neutral auction house.

Only the Black / Plagued Proto-Drakes are being removed as of now. The other achievement-based mounts will remain since they aren't 310% speed.

i would think that even if the mounts are not soulbound, and purchaseable on the neutral AH, that they would still be race restrictive. Just my guess.

My Guild on Dunemaul - Rigor Mortis Killed sarhtarion 1 minute and 16 secs on our 5th try yesterday. WE used me(survhunter), retripala,3xdps warr,1 feral druid 1 shaman resto and 1 prot warr tank.

Sarth 3D is not being changed at all with 3.1.

OS +3 is actually not an achievement drake, it's a 100% drop if you do OS +3. Probably why they let it stay aswell. Only achievement mount rewards are taken away from the game...as in not unattainable. Those that have it still have it ofc.

Hi, dont know if anyone has bothered yet but we managed Sarth 3 with a caster setup tonight in 79 seconds. Pretty standard setup apart from 1 random hunter who needed the title... so could have been faster with another caster.
