New build is 9742... stay tuned for changes!

Update (6:40PM PDT): Added Ulduar Boss Changes from 9733 and 9742.

Update (4:30PM PDT): Herald of the Titans explained.

Ulduar Boss Changes

Some of these were likely in build 9733, but I wanted to make note of them as there hasn't been any testing since.  Green values indicate an increase, red values indicate a decrease, and underlined values are new.

Assembly of Iron

  • Steelbreaker
    • Fusion Punch - No longer deals weapon damage.  An attack infused with energy that inflicts 35000 Nature damage and an additional 20000 Nature damage per second.
    • High Voltage - Deals 3000 Nature damage every 3 sec.

Auriaya

  • Sentinel Blast - Inflicts 6000 Shadow damage and increases Shadow damage taken by 100% for 5 sec. Stacks.
  • Sonic Screech - A Sonic Shockwave that deals 231250 to 268750 Physical damage to all enemies in its path.  The Shockwave damge is split between all targets in its path.
  • Feral Spirit
    • Feral Pounce - The Feral Defender pounces the target stunning them for 5 sec and inflicting 972 to 1128 Shadow damage every 1 sec.
    • Feral Rush - Charges an enemy, dealing 2925 to 3075 Shadow damage and interrupting spell cast for 6 sec.

  • Sanctum Sentry
    • Savage Pounce - A savage pounce that inflicts 7400 to 8600 Physical damage and an additional 6013 to 6987 Physical damage every 1 sec for 5 sec.

Flame Leviathan

  • Battering Ram - Rams the target, dealing damage and knocking it forward. (Deals 100% weapon damage and causes the target to take 50% more damage for 10 seconds.  Stacks 20 times.)
  • Hard Mode
    • Hodir's Fury - Deals 150000 Frost damage to all nearby enemies, entombing them in ice. Deals 1% hp damage per sec. for 1 minute.  Can be broken by flames.
    • Mimiron's Inferno - Deals 150000 Fire damage to all nearby enemies and leaves a flaming blaze behind.  (Flaming blaze deals 10% of your vehicle's hp per sec. if you stay in it; persists for 30 sec.)
    • Thorim's Hammer - Deals Stormstrike damage to all enemies nearby. Additional damage is take if directly under the impact location.  (Additional damage is 300000 in a 7 yard radius)

  • Vehicles
    • Salvaged Demolisher
      • Increased Speed - Injects liquid pyrite into the engines, increasing movement speed by 100%. Lasts 20 sec.

Freya

  • Sunbeam - Inflicts 7400 to 8600 Fire damage to enemies within 8 yards of the target.
    • Unstable Energy - Inflicts 8288 to 8712 Nature damage every 1 sec to enemies within 5 yards for 10 sec.

General Vezax

  • Shadow Crash - Fires a shadow missile at a target, dealing 11310 to 12690 Shadow damage to all enemies near the impact point and knocking them away.  After impact, leaves an energy field that lingers for 20 sec, increasing magical damage dealt by 100%, casting speed by 100%, reducing healing done by 75%, and reducing mana costs by 75%.

Hodir

  • Starlight - Envelops a location in starlight for 1 min, increasing attack and casting speed of friendly units within it.
  • Storm Power - Charges a nearby friendly target with lightning, increasing critical strike damage by 135% for 30 sec. (Down from 225%)
  • Toasty Fire - Warms nearby friendly creatures, preventing the effects of Freeze and Biting Cold, and increasing Spirit by 4In addition, your Spells and Ranged attacks have a chance to singe enemies.  Toasty fire can be extinguished by falling ice or Flash Freeze.
    • Singed - Singes the enemy, inflicting 1500 Fire damage and increasing damage taken from magical spells and effects by 1% for 25 sec. Stacks up to 30 times.

Ignis the Furnace Master

  • Scorch - Fires a jet of flame, burning all enemies in front of the caster within 30 yards, dealing 3770 to 4230 Fire damage every half-second for 3 sec. Additionally, the ground is scorched by this effect causing it to catch on fire, dealing 7540 to 8460 Fire damage every second to all enemies within 13 yards. Iron Constructs within this radius will begin to heat up, eventually becoming molten.
  • Slag Pot - Charges and grabs a random enemy target, tossing them into the caster's slag pot. The target is unable to attack the caster and takes 7500 Fire damage every second for 10 sec. If the target survives, they are imbued with the magical slag, increasing their haste by 150% for 10 sec.

Kologarn

  • Stone Grip - Squeezes the life out of the target, stunning it and inflicting 5363 to 5637 Physical damage every 1 sec until Kologarn's Arm sustains 480,000 damage. (Up from 450,000)

Mimiron

  • Phase 1
    • Napalm Shell - Fires a shell filled with napalm at a random enemy target. The shell explodes upon impact, dealing 7540 to 8460 Fire damage instantly and an additional 32000 over 8 sec. This effect attempts to target enemies over 15 yards away if possible.
    • Plasma Blast - A stream of plasma errupts from the cannon, dealing 20000 Spellfire damage per second for 6 sec. This effect cannot be resisted.
    • Shock Blast - 4 sec. cast; deals 100000 Nature damage to targets within 15 yards.

  • Phase 2
    • Heat Wave - Deals 2828 to 3172 Fire damage instantly and another 3000 Fire damage per sec. for 5 seconds to targets within 50000 yards.
    • Rapid Burst - Unleashes a series of short plasma bursts towards a random enemy, dealing 1885 to 2115 Spellfire damage per burst for a total of 6 bursts over 3 sec.
    • Rocket Strike - Tooltip clarified.  Launches a rocket towards a random enemy.  Once the rocket reaches the destination, it deals 5000000 Fire damage to all enemies within 3 yards.
    • Spinning Up - Tooltip clarified.  Spins up the dual cannons for 4 sec before unleashing a spray of lasers in a random direction, dealing 20000 Spellfire damage every 0.25 sec to all enemies caught inside. Lasts 10 sec.

  • Phase 3
    • Bomb Bot - Mimiron spawns these.  Explodes for 23563 to 26437 Fire damage in a 5 yard radius.

Razorscale

  • Devouring Flame - Spits a Lava Bomb at an enemy, inflicting 8788 to 10212 Fire damage.  Also deals an additional 8788 to 10212 Fire damage within 6 yards of the impact location every 1 sec. for 25 seconds.

Thorim

  • Deafening Thunder - Inflicts 4625 to 5375 Nature damage to enemies standing in close proximity to a Stormhammer strike, increasing spell casting times by 75% for 8 sec.
  • Lightning Charge - Absorbs a torrent of electrical energy, inflicting Nature damage to enemies in a cone between the caster and the power source, and increasing the caster's melee damage and attack speed by 15%, and Nature damage dealt by 10%. (Stacks 99 times)
    • Lightning Charge - Absorbs a torrent of electrical energy, inflicting 13875 to 16125 Nature damage to enemies in a cone between the caster and the power source.

  • Unbalancing Strike - Inflicts 200% weapon damage and leaves the target unbalanced, reducing their defense skill by 200 for 15 sec.
  • Chain Lightning - Strikes an enemy with a blast of lightning that inflicts 3700 to 4300 Nature damage. The bolt will arc to additional nearby enemies, inflicting 100% more Nature damage to each successive target.
  • Sif
    • Blizzard - A rain of ice moves around the room, dealing 3282 to 4218 Frost damage every 1 sec. for 10 sec.

XT-002 Deconstructor


  • Hard Mode
    • Heartbreak - The heart of the XT-002 Deconstructor has been severed, removing the combat limitations of the XT-002 Deconstructor.  Damage increased by 30%. Health increased by 40%.
    • Static Charged - Deals 2000 Nature damage to all enemies within 500 yards every 3 sec.

  • Blood
  • Frost
    • Rime - Proc changed from Icy Touch to Obliterate.

  • Unholy
    • Anti-Magic Shell - Absorbs up to a maximum of 100% of the Death Knight's health.  (Was 50%)
    • Death Strike - Base damage increased to 75%; bonus damage also increased.
    • Ghoul Frenzy - Duration increased to 30 sec., heal amount increased to 60%.  (Old - 15 sec. duration, 30% heal)
    • Night of the Dead - Now a pre-requisite for Master of Ghouls.
    • Raise Ally - Ghoul duration increased to 5 minutes.  (Was 4 minutes)
    • Summon Gargoyle - Duration reduced to 40 sec.  (Was 1 minute)

  • Items

  • Balance
  • Feral
    • Primal Tenacity - Now only reduces fear duration and damage taken while in Cat form.
    • Rend and Tear - Bonus to Ferocious Bite reduced to 5% per rank.  (Was 10% per rank)

    • Psychic Horror - Now only forces the target to drop their main hand and ranged weapons.  (Was all weapons)

    • *NEW* Herald of the Titans - Defeat Algalon the Observer on Normal Difficulty without anyone in the raid wearing any equipment with an item level higher than 226. Title Reward: Herald of the Titans.

    • Heroic: Observed - Title reward added: The Astral Walker
    • Never Stand Near the Faceless Dude / Heroic: Never Stand Near the Faceless Dude have been removed.

There had been many jokes that achievements like that will be added when they didn´t know what else to do to keep people busy...

Not sure if this is new to this build, or from a past one. But it is definitly new in patch 3.1 as its not on live currently. Also I don't rememberit being reported in the news before (or in the patch notes)

When a warlock summons eye of kilrogg a bar appears (like aura's on dk/hunters/pallys) that has an option to summon the eye and cancel the channeling. The first button does nothing currently, and the second cancels the casting of course. No longer have to click the buff off to leave it early.

Note, in the screenshot I made the bar bigger so its easier to see and placed it in the chat box. The normal bar and its normal size is below that in the UI default place.

Chef's Hat! WOOT! I knew there was a reason I was still doing those cooking dailies every day after becoming Chef. I have over 100 awards already, ready to buy that hat on patch day. :)

Ok another stab in the heart for my frost tank, no more rime ... I barely use obliterate. And blood boil 10 yards? As if it wasn't near useless already. Ah well I guess I can spend points elsewhere now ... why do t hey change so much, it's like they have to change trees every week to keep the easily bored retards happy or something, starting to piss me off, we don't ask for complete new trees and talents every patch really ...
1 line can't display all my 80's, boohoo.

I can confirm that Cooking With Style is indeed a 10 point achievement. I popped on the PTR to grab it earlier. :)

Did they remove the change to the Death Knight Blood Tree talent "Might of Mograine"? I thought it was being changed to "Increases the damage of your obliterate, heart strike, etc. by XX%" in 3.1 to do away with the huge crits?

Yes. It works the same way as it did before, they just removed an ability or two from it.
