This article lists all the Northrend daily quests currently ingame. It will be updated with new ones as they come, check back after patches.
Borean Tundra
There's only one daily quest so far in Borean Tundra, in Coldarra. It is the exact same quest as the regular Drake Hunt. Take Raelorasz's Spear in Transitus Shield and catch a drake hatchling. That's it. 7.10g for 1 minute.
Howling Fjord
Alliance exclusive daily quests in this zone. One to repeat the very nice aerial combat quest and kill gargoyles rewarding 7.10g and +250 Explorers' League. The second is bombing the blockade cannons and the nearby pirates at Westguard Keep. Very entertaining quest even to come back to at level 80. 7.10g and +250 Valiance Expedition
Dragonblight
So far the only daily quest of the zone is defending the Wyrmrest Temple. This quest gives you control of a red dragon with Immolate, Fire Breath, Renew and Blazing Speed spells to kill 3 big, 5 small blue dragons attacking the Temple and to destabilize the Azure Dragonshrine to stop whatever evil they are doing there. As an added bonus if you complete the quest in 2 minutes you get an achievement. Finishing in 3 minutes is easy, 2 minutes requires some thinking. 15.56g and +250 Wyrmrest Accord
Grizzly Hills
There are 10 daily quests in this zone, all but one located in the 3 PvP areas along the main river.
- The Blackriver Logging Camp is a small island so the quest is really easy too. Kill 10 NPC attackers or players of the opposing faction. 15.56g and +250 Horde Expedition/Valiance Expedition
- The Blue Sky Logging Camp has a similar quest but here you can also collect Shredder parts, return broken Goblin Shredders (which you can use later with the keys obtained) and heal wounded NPC defenders. 4x 15.56g and +250 Warsong Offensive/Alliance Vanguard
- The most intriguing area for me was Venture Bay where an Alliance, Horde and Venture Co ship is docked - the scenery while flying nearby is just breathtaking. Here you can smoke out Venture Co workers, kill enemy players and even kill the enemy faction's ship captain. An extra daily becomes available if your faction controls the bay, asking you to drive a torpedo into the enemy's lumber ship! These quests reward Venture Coins (in addition to gold) which can be turned in for nice PVP rewards. 4x 15.56g and 10x Venture Coins
- The tenth quest can be started in Granite Springs to repeat the fun little quest at the entrance of Drak'tharon Keep. Yes, I'm talking about the one where you can throw molotov cocktails on the recently converted trolls! Max fun! 9.86g
Since these daily quests are for level 74, they reward a little less gold then expected, but there are 10 of them and they can be completed really fast, surely none will complain. Over 140g and quite some reputation in a half an hour.
List of Grizzly Hills daily quests
Zul'drak
I wasn't the biggest fan of the Argent Stand questline, so the daily quest that replaces the main quests - helping out 4 captains of the commander - didn't win me over either. But if you complete the quest within 30 minutes there's extra reward, which makes it a little nicer. Currently that is an extra +350 reputation and 38.27g! So the little tasks at the 4 captains vary every other day just like in Sholazar Basin (read below), mostly they rehash the previous quests:
- Alchemist Finklestein needs your help to create a truth serum for his prisoner. To cook it you get a 40 second counter to find a random material on the shelves of the lab, however there are 2 storage rooms so if you can't find it in one, there's no way you can go through the other in time. Start again the whole cauldron. Pretty annoying. Oh and there's 6 random items to find. 4.76g and +75 Argent Crusade
- Captain Rupert gives you orders to incinerate fallen soldiers or restore the courage of scared ones or close the Nerubian tunnels. 4.76g and +75 Argent Crusade
- Captain Brandon wants you to collect water poppies from the closeby area or place Argent Crusade standards. 4.76g and +75 Argent Crusade
- Captain Grondel needs wood for fire or to kill crocodiles or to gather medallions from troll corpses. 4.76g and +75 Argent Crusade
When finishing the main quest there's 18.89g and +250 Argent Crusade. Even on the first try it took no more than 25 minutes, on the second and third day it can be as low as 15 minutes. So with the subquests it's 37.93g and +600 Argent Crusade, with the time bonus it goes up to 76.20g and +950 Argent Crusade. These count as 5+1 daily quests by the way.
Sholazar Basin
After the long (and fun) questline I chose The Oracles, so I can only comment their daily quests. Now the thing about these daily quests is that they are not actually daily quests, but as far as I can tell, bi-daily or tri-daily. What that means is there are 3 questgivers in Rainspeak Canopy and they give a random daily quest every day from a given set. These quests are fairly similar, the only difference is how you accomplish it.
- Soo-nee's quests have you either control Haiphoon, the Great Tempest to consume elementals, or kill some wind and air elementals yourself or sing a few songs on top the 4 great pillar or at the 3 lakes of the zone. 20.63g and +500 The Oracles
- Soo-met's Kartak's hold quest set you on destroying 50 Frenzyheart warriors by either using 3 crystals that summon storms and laser beams or control a huge cat Shoo-lun, Will of the Titan to kill them yourself. 29.80g and +700 The Oracles
- Soo-say's set of quest is actually just one, there's no variation here. Grab a gurloc and use it to dig up shiny treasures. The quest is pretty annoying but the gurlocs are adoowable so it's okay. 19.34g and +500 The Oracles
The dailies for the Frenzyheart Tribe go like this:
- Collect chickens, which literally takes just a few minutes, making it the easiest daily quest ever. 20.63g and +500 Frenzyheart Tribe
- Rejek wants to become a big warrior, or rather wants to be known as a big warrior so he has us kill some mobs around the zone or use his sword on them. Maybe a bit much flying around, but no more than Soo-nee's quests. 19.34g and +500 Frenzyheart Tribe
- The Kartak's Hold quests involve killing gorlucs of the nearby "bigtongue" village where 50 gurlocs can be killed with either proximinity / timed / snare bombs (which is easier than killing "puppymen" with crystals because gurlocs don't have ranged attackers needed to be pulling into the AOE) or by drinking a strong ale to gain extra damage for spells against the enemy or by controlling Kartak, a really really powerful elite who - like Shoo-lun - has some pretty amazing abilities that decimate dozens of enemies within seconds. 29.80g and +700 Frenzyheart Tribe
There's a slight variation among The Oracles and Frenzyheart quests, but in terms of reputation gain and gold reward for time investment they are the same. All in all these 3 are the highest level and probably best daily quests, oh and they reward 69.77g and +1700 The Oracles/Frenzyheart Tribe for about 25 minutes.
List of Sholazar Basin daily quests
The Storm Peaks
There are four locations in the zone giving daily quests, one in K3, then in Brunnhildar Village, then some quests for Alliance in the Frosthold and 4 in Dun Niffelem for The Sons of Hodir:
K3
- Landmines are fun and Blizzard knows this. Garm's attacking soldiers are to be undermined again and again. Since there's an overstock on mines, we can use them! 20g
Brunnhildar Village
- The lazy ass miners in the Forlorn Mines are getting exhausted again. How dare they! Go "discipline" them! 10g
- To keep you in shape for mounted combat, you get to do some more bear fighting in the arena of the village! Win 6 duels for a quick 10g
Frosthold (alliance only)
- Ride the eagle and kill some proto-drakes that got aggressive since a certain someone killed their brood mother. Vehicle combat \o/ 20g and +250 The Frostborn
Dun Niffelem
- Fjorn's Anvil (yes, an object, not an NPC) wants more metal for the Frost Giants so kill some Brittle Revenants (ice elemental) and its essence to cool some hot iron scraps. 22g and +250 The Sons of Hodir
- Hodir's Horn (yes, again an object) asks you to put some more spirits to rest and Thunderfall. 29g and +250 The Sons of Hodir
- Hodir's Helm (yes, but this is unlocked when friendly with The Sons of Hodir) needs polish so off you go to the nearest cave for some ooze "stuff". 29g and +250 The Sons of Hodir
- Hodir's Spear (... unlocked when honored with The Sons of Hodir) wants to fight so grab onto a drake and fight its rider! 29g and +250 The Sons of Hodir
The anvil and horn quests I found mandatory to do for 2 days to gain high enough reputation to continue the questline and unlock the helm. Interesting new design if this is not a bug.
List of The Storm Peaks daily quests
Icecrown
Massive amounts of dailies, massive amounts of awesomeness! There are five locations in the zone giving daily quests, but there are 3 categories so let's go by those!
PVP
- Since total war broke out between our beloved factions, the captain of your gunship wants to you to kill 15 enemy troops. 13.23g and +200 Honor
- The standard of your faction has to be on the top of the tallest peak of the zone, so the jumpbot can be utilised again for great fun! Visit your friendly neighborhood goblin near Ymirheim for some jumping and 13.23g and +250 Warsong Offensive / Valiance Expedition but you have to figure out how to make it to the top in just 5 jumps ;)
- So the enemy faction has spy planes in the valley next to Aldur'thar and you have rockets. Put the two together and you can play bazooka! 13.23g and +250 Warsong Offensive / Valiance Expedition
Group quests
- If you're up for it, your gunship's own death knight (Thassarian / Koltira) offers to repeat the cauldron neutralizing quest with some friends just inside the main tower of Mord'rethar. 22.20g and +250 Knights of the Ebon Blade
- Your death knight offers this one too, Alumeth needs to be dealt with again so revisit Aldur'thar with some friends, assemble it to kill it for good... for another day. 22.20g and +250 Knights of the Ebon Blade
General
- On the Gunship
- Isn't it great to see bad guys get hurt? Well of course! The death knight on the gunship thinks so, too. Go get the initiate's orbs at Aldur'thar and use them make gargoyles take away the subjugators. Hah! 13.23g and +250 Knights of the Ebon Blade
- According to Thassarian / Koltira, the last Dark Messenger we left at Aldur'thar to monitor the Cult of the Damned was discovered. You will need to kill 5 voidwalkers (and their masters) to summon a new one for 13.23g and +250 Knights of the Ebon Blade
- Abominations make good pets... to blow scourge up! So do as your faction's death knight says and make new abomination pets to blow themselves up with scourge mobs around them (they follow the scent of flatulance you know). It's all science... that rewards you with 13.23g and +250 Knights of the Ebon Blade
- The Argent Crusade ambassador to Warsong Offensive / Valiance Expedition needs you to free some slaves in the Saronite Mines. Not an easy task but handsomely rewarding 13.23g and +250 Argent Crusade
- The chief engineer of the gunship has some cool mixtures that needs retesting so fly down there, kill 10 of them complete the material to neutralize the cauldrons for 13.23g and +250 Warsong Offensive / Valiance Expedition
- Still the chief engineer, who found an even cooler formula. Get the necessary ingredients from the Broken Front, apply it to a frostwyrm and wait for the fireworks! 13.23g and +250 Warsong Offensive / Valiance Expedition
- Ymirheim must be an annoying place to kill their vrykul by the 20. Ok they aren't, they are just in the way, so get the quest from the Warbringer / Knight-Captain and collect 13.23g and +250 Warsong Offensive / Valiance Expedition
- Under Ymirheim
- The elite soldiers of your faction are ready to take on Ymirheim, so as a third quest to the area, you get to escort a squad up the hill through many ambushes. 13.23g and +250 Warsong Offensive / Valiance Expedition
- Paratroopers are landing in Ymirheim and through the aerial assault your job is to neutralize the Vrykul cannons so the ship can make all its drops. Amazing quest I'm telling ya! 13.23g and +250 Warsong Offensive / Valiance Expedition
- The secret airfield on top of Aldur'thar
- One of the extremely (really) cool dailies here offers you the chance to pilot the bomber that has damage control, air-to-air and bomber functions as well! Even if it didn't reward 13.23g and +250 Warsong Offensive / Valiance Expedition I'd probably do this every day!
- Slightly more difficult version of this has you kill an addition type of air combatants (frost wyrms) and an additional type of ground target (scourge warmachines) as well. Total ownage indeed. 13.23g and +250 Warsong Offensive / Valiance Expedition. Oh and if you fail either of these quests you can't retry either of them for 1 hour so l2aim!
- One of the extremely (really) cool dailies here offers you the chance to pilot the bomber that has damage control, air-to-air and bomber functions as well! Even if it didn't reward 13.23g and +250 Warsong Offensive / Valiance Expedition I'd probably do this every day!
- At The Shadow Vault
- Baron Sliver wants you to plant a banner into 15 Vrykuls you kill in the greater Jotunheim region for 13.23g and +250 Knights of the Ebon Blade
- Vile has a thing for fire so while you're in Jotunheim, you should steal a proto-drake for him to set a few houses (more like all of them) on fire. 13.23g and +250 Knights of the Ebon Blade
- The Leaper has the coolest of all. Use a harpoon launcher to kill drakes at the cliffs. Rapid Fire here we come! 13.23g and +250 Knights of the Ebon Blade
- Baron Sliver wants you to plant a banner into 15 Vrykuls you kill in the greater Jotunheim region for 13.23g and +250 Knights of the Ebon Blade
- On Death's Rise
- I can't help but laugh when doing this quest where the draenei lady death knight wants you to kill Scarlet dudes down on the island and turn them into ghouls. They must be superpissed when not only the mindless but the free-willed use this technique against them! 13.23g and +250 Knights of the Ebon Blade
- If you've flown into Onslaught Harbor you know how incredibly annoying the millions of gryphons are with their gazillion yard aggro range. Well something must be done, so either use the gryphon provided or fight them from the ground but kill 10 of them god's sake! And for 13.23g and +250 Knights of the Ebon Blade
- Daily plans of the Scarlet must be obtained through a daily quest, so head down there, kill the bastards, get their keys and open their lockboxes. 13.23g and +250 Knights of the Ebon Blade. Oh and during this quest you have a chance to loot an item that starts the most peculiar questline ever with Westwind at the end!
The 4 quests in Ymirheim take about 20 minutes but the reputation rewards aren't at all impressive. On the other hand the 2x3 quests in The Shadow Vault and Death's Rise while taking slightly more time, reward 1500 for a much cooler faction who sell stuff. There are 5 more random quests for this faction, alltogether with an hour spent, you can easily get +2750 KotEB reputation and 145.53g during that and that's not bad at all! Getting a party for the group quests of the gunship might be hard, but for that massive amount of rep I might just be worth the extra effort. Beyond that all the other quests seem to be much more a bonus for some fun than a way to make money or gain reputation, although they serve those purposes quite well, too.
Cooking
Now the cooking daily quests are pretty interesting. In fact the whole cooking system is pretty interesting. When learning Grand Master cooking you get a set of food you can cook using fish and meat from Northrend and there is no more from the vendor. Most of these foods give a Well Fed buff of 30 rating of one kind and 40 stamina or 35 spellpower and 40 stamina or 60 attack power and 40 stamina etc.
The daily quests reward you with 1x Dalaran Cooking Award, however you need 3 of these for a recipe that allows you to cook an upgraded version of the previous foods, giving 40 rating instead of 30, 46 spell power instead of 35, 80 attack power instead of 60 and so on. 40 stamina stays at 40. To actually cook 1 of these yummy foods you need 1x Northern Spice too, which can be bought in stacks of 10 for 1x Dalaran Cooking Award. That gives 10 buff food 1 day for anyone who does the daily cooking quest, no more. Of course now the token and the spice aren't BoP so they can be traded kinda undermining this whole restriction.
Anyway there are 6 quests, you can do one of them every day, they mostly need 2-4 meat from an easily accessible mob in Northrend and different items from the city, like half-empty glasses of wine, cheese from the cheese vendor's shop or fungus from the sewers (ewww!). 9.63g and +150 Kiron Tor and 1x Dalaran Cooking Award.

Jewelcrafting
They are similar to the Cooking daily quests, they also reward 1 token to purchase recipes. 1 for uncut gems used for Jewelcrafter only unique gems, 2 for low-level gem designs, 5 for high-level gem designs, 8 for metagem designs. The actual quests require 1 drop from a random creature, like a Vrykul or a Revenants or a Shoveltusk plus 2 uncut green gems. In turn they reward 7.40g and 1x Dalaran Jewelcrafter's Trophy

PVP
Lake Wintergraps is the first fully PvP zone of the game, it's only fair its daily quests are PvP oriented. They are all available in the Fortress if your faction controls it or in your village close to the fortress if you're on offense:
- For 620 Honor and 20.63g you need to kill 20 Alliance Players. This is easily obtainable since you need to re-earn your Private, Corporal, First Lieutenant ranks at the beginning of each battle in order to control and buy siege engines.
- For another 620 Honor and 20.63g you have to kill 3 enemy Siege Engines. The big tanks.
- Of course there is a daily quest for winning the battle either by taking the fortress or defending it. The reward is another 620 Honor and 20.63g
- The fire elementals of the south-eastern subzone, Cauldron of Flames can be used to fuel the siege engines. For 10 of their essences you get 412 Honor and 20.63g
- Similarly, the roses that grow in the south-western area, Steppes of Life can be used to treat cold and other sicknesses. For 10 medicinal herbs you get 412 Honor and 20.63g
- The Glacial Falls somehow imbue the armor of fallen soldiers, so after collecting 10 of these armors you are rewarded 412 Honor and 20.63g
Winning Wintergraps currently rewards 7500 Honor and 150 Arena points. Adding the 2200 Honor obtainable with the 4 daily quests it takes just 7 days to max out the Honor pool with a half an hour spent in Lake Wintergraps winning 1 battle every day. That's great, no more brainless afk leeching in 3 year old battlegrounds!
The good old battleground daily makes a cameo anyway, so for 620 Honor and 13.23g you are called to win the selected one of the 5 battlegrounds. You can start it in any capital city plus Shattrath and Dalaran.
Heroic dungeons
As expected Dalaran offers daily quests to a random heroic dungeon, but new in WotLK there are 2 daily quests to 2 different locations. One of them is the regular kill-the-endboss type quest, the other directs you to dungeons that are level 80 in normal mode and asks you to kill trashmobs:
- The heroic dungeon quests reward 26.46g and 2x Emblem of Heroism for killing one of Anub'arak in Azjol'Nerub, Cyanigosa in The Violet Hold, Gal'darah in Gun'drak, Herald Volazj in Ahn'kahet: The Old Kingdom, Ingvar the Plunderer in Utgarde Keep, Keristrasza in The Nexus, King Ymiron in Utgarde Pinnacle, Ley-Guardian Eregos in The Oculus, Loken in Halls of Lightning, Mal'ganis in Caverns of Time: Culling of Stratholme, Sjonnir the Ironshaper in Halls of Stone or The Prophet Tharon'ja in Drak'tharon Keep.
- The normal dungeon quests reward 19.84g and +250 Kiron Tor or +250 Argent Crusade or +250 Knights of the Ebon Blade or +250 Wyrmrest Accord through a token for killing Centrifuge Constructs that unlock the second boss in The Oculus, Infinite Agents before the third boss in Caverns of Time: Culling of Stratholme, Titanium Starcallers in Halls of Lightning or Ymirjar Berserkers in Utgarde Pinnacle
