Brewfest Testing

Quote from: Kisirani (Source)

We've made some changes to Brewfest this year, and we're testing it out on the PTR. We have a few things in particular we'd like you to test when the holiday is active:

The Dark Iron Attack is back this year, every half-hour at the main Brewfest camps outside of Orgrimmar and Ironforge. Please test out the attack and give us your feedback on how it plays out.

There is a new boss lvl 70 in Blackrock Depths to test -- Coren Direbrew, who is located in the Grim Guzzler. The mole machine directly to the right as you zone in should transport you to the Grim Guzzler. No need to clear all the way up there.

Brewfest - No Kodo Mount for the Alliance this year
Quote from: Kisirani (Source)

The decision was made to give Horde the Kodo and Alliance the Ram this year. I apologize if there were expectations that the Alliance would get a Horde mount; we were in discussions about this for a long time. I hope that you'll enjoy the holiday regardless.

PTR - Premade Characters are now available
Quote from: Hortus (Source)

Premade characters are now available for transfer to the PTR realms. However the character copy queue is now full and copies are taking multiple days to complete. Please be patient.

No Release Date for Patch 2.4.3
Quote from: Bornakk (Source)

There is no official release date for patch 2.4.3, but my hunch is that it will be on some Tuesday. As for downtime, we post details on this on the Breaking News and on the forums during the day on Monday.

Midsummer - The Honor/Desecrate quests and the Zoram Strand questline
Quote from: Kisirani (Source)

The Honor/Desecrate quests, as well as the Zoram Strand questline, are once per year. The Zoram Strand chain indeed gives some flowers, but moreover it unlocks another daily. Doing the torch tossing, torch catching, and Striking Back quests should give you a decent intake per day.

WotLK - Death Knight and Tanking
Quote from: Bornakk (Source)

I can think of several encounters off the top of my head where one sort of tank will excel over another one. For example there may be a number of "gimmick" encounters that favor warriors but at the same time I have seen other tanks excel (and sometimes quite a bit) over warriors in other fights. Along with that I have attended raids where the warrior fits the "gimmick" roll and the other tanks really take over and rip things up.

That said, the Deathknight will be able to tank things, we have talked about them having abilities that help them tank casters, but that doesn't automatically mean they are limited to 5 person dungeons or caster-specific encounters. It may be awhile for some players to learn how to play a whole new class and level them up, but the option will likely be available to players/raid groups to have Deathknights tank a large number of encounter
