New Raid Audit Tool - Need Feedback #1

As a raider and an officer of a nerdy progressive guild, I have to spend a decent amount of time auditing my own performance as well as some of my guild?s members (especially apps). As everyone knows, do an in-depth analysis of performance it takes a little more time then simply looking at your top five damaging abilities. Seeing as how the proper processes took a little bit of time to do properly, I thought I?d come up with a tool to summarize a person?s performance in a raid.

With that said, I?d like a little feedback. My guild has been very helpful in giving me spells to change/add or abilities that should or should not be counted as against someone?s performance. I?d now like to hear from you. So I figured I?d ask the other nerds in the community if they could take a look and give me constructive criticism and suggestions.

http://www.wowraidaudit.com

Just select a fight, select a guild, select a class and audit away.

Note: most of the guilds (outside of a few from skywall) are top 100. Expect the fights to be hard modes.

Also, feel free to add your own parses (if your guild is on worldoflogs).

Before you post, keep in mind that this works purely off of World of Logs - Real Time Raid Analysis and whatever information they have, I can manipulate. I cannot however track things that the WOW combat logs does not record, such as totems.

Some specs / classes get more benefit from the tool and depending on your healing assignment, healers may have a hard time dissecting performance (though I?m working on it). Most classes of popular raid specs should see a pretty strong medium of performances and allow for some level of personal improvement.

So please, tell me what you think and what you suggest for changes, any feedback is good feedback.

hehe, thanks.

Anything you'd like to add, feel free to ask for. Whatever makes this easier for you guys to audit, makes it easier for me to audit as well.

Nice site, been checking it out a little, even if my guilds reports are probably extremly worthless for others....

2 opints tho:
first - pets are completely ignored at the dps listings. As those are actually well documented in the WoL reports, I think it shouldnt be too much trouble adding them.
second - there is no record of stuff that you pre-cast. For example as UH DK, putting up bone shield before the fight and precasting Army of the Dead does not make it in the list. While it's probably impossible to track that, as they dont make it into the combat log, there should be a note on the page somewhere.

Sadly, i can only work with what WoL give me to play with. Pet's don't show ownership in the logs so there's no way to account for their damage. I realized early on that it' irrelevant to add in Pet Damage anyway. You don't compare yourself as a Hunter to a Rogue, you should compare your spec to another similar spec. When doing so, it's relatively easy to assume that pet damage is to a degree, similar and there main focus of the audit tool remains auditing the player, not the pet.

On the second point, that's another limitation of logging. The logs start when the boss is engaged and everything between that point and when he dies (or everyone is out of combat) the logs continue. So anything that happens prior or post that combat will not be reflected in the World of Logs parses.

Sadly, those things are just out of my control.

=====================================
============== UPDATES ==============
=====================================

i have added a few things yesterday...

* Only top 200 guilds appear in the Guild drop down
* Browsing to a specific guild audit page (via servers link) will add that guild to the Guild drop down
* Every parse now records the length and dps of the fight, this is visible in your guild's audit listing
* Supporting more spells
* Added small stat counter at the bottom of the site
* Added in support to deactivate audits that have expired or been moved to private (method somehow decided to make all of its logs private yesterday, hehe)

Off the top of my head, I'd still like to add sorting on the guild page, guild comparisons and instant audit for wipes to make sure everyone is doing what they are supposed to. I'll get to all of these soon enough.

dang, you can compare your priests to me. that's pretty decent.

edit: many of our ToC parses are available for public viewing on WoL, but they are not showing up via your audit tool.

I wanted to compare myself to other priests =*(

Thanks for putting this together; it looks very useful so far!

Some recommendations with regards to auditing rogues:

Combat specs:
Track blade flurry and killing spree casts and usage.

Assassination specs:
Track vanish usage (the overkill buff turns it into a dps cool down)
Track Envenom buff uptime
