Hai, i've come to solve all your EU problems!

I was annoyed too (EU here) and realised that US/latin america/oceanic were all on the US forums, and the EU/russian servers are normally talked about on the EU forums, so i went over there, and they've copy/pasted the same message with EU/Russian servers in place instead... 3 days for us too

Since the release of the latest patch, Echoes of Doom, we have gone through a series of optimizations in order to increase overall game performance. We’ve seen steady, stable populations and a flurry of activity and excitement during the Hallow’s End event and the latest rumblings of zombie attacks. It’s been an exciting time for us as we draw closer to the release of our second expansion, Wrath of the Lich King.

We've reached a point where we feel we can now accurately evaluate the events since the patch release. Though overall downtime has been minimal, players have experienced latency, inaccessible instances, and general frustrations. We are therefore announcing that we will be issuing compensation to accounts in all European and Russian language realms. Accounts that are currently active and in good standing will be credited with an additional three days of game time.

We would like to thank you for your patience during this time and look forward to seeing you in game!

EDIT: removed the first part of my post, as the poster above just proved what I expected

Anyways, the forum change seems kinda nice really - we've decided to do the same in our LK guild, instead of having class leaders. Guess I'll start browsing the healer forum from now on

I wonder when people will realize that 11 million accounts != 11 million players. Though, I guess I shouldn't be bothered too much by that mistake, seeing how bad the two articles actually is. Its sad to see the "rl media" covering game events like the zombie plague (or anything else related to the gaming world for that matter) - seeing what little knowledge they have and how badly they are, to actually get the prober informations to cover their story is just sad.

In my opinion, it would be better with a "Melee Damage Dealer Forum" and a "Caster Damage Dealer Forum", as you are likely to discuss for example glancing blows and boss armor in a melee section, where as that would be of no use to a caster.

It just seems logical to divide the DPS classes in 2, especially with there being effectively 1-3 DPS specs per class, where as tanks only have one tanking tree (DK might be an exception), and most healers only have a single healing tree.

Thoughts?

Bloodlust in the US was the same way for a really long time after release. We ended up calling the battlegroup the "Terrible Thirteen" in reference to how bad those 13 servers were performance-wise.
