Retarded damn idiotic Blizzcrew. Why didn't they think of resetting the honor when S4 launched already? I mean a post saying "Honor, tokens and arena points will reset when WotLK launch".

I bet there are alot of ppl out there that have 75k or close to 75k honor. Myself have 55k and farmed them for WotLK. But guess I can buy crap gems now instead. Thanks alot, the flaws of communication and forthseeing lack again. (I'm angry, because as late of just 2 months back a blue post that the honor WOULD NOT reset). God this is so fucking annoying. Sorry for my language. But 50k+ honor and nothing to spend them on except gems....that takes the spirit out of you.

They did not reset for TBC. So probably would not for WotLK either. But guess they just came up with the idea "Hey, it was bad we did not reset when TBC released. Why not do it now, just 1½ months before release when alot of people already farmed honor for WotLK? Yeah, great idea!!!!!!".

I mean, it's no god damn news that people have been stacking up honor for WotLK. And the "upgrades".....it's still not what we aimed for with the honor. But it was a try to please us a little. /fail

Note, I fully understand why they reset. But what I don't know is why they go out so damn late about it. They knew about this a loooooong time ago (pre-TBC even, tons of posts about it).

I'm good about reseting honor with new add-on. I'm even always up for an idea that honor will resets with EVERY future season. In fact WotlK PvP items cost still around 15k (nearly same is they do now) and at 80 you will get much more honor - it is no problem. My hunter curently got around 60k of honor and 100 of each mark. With all these I can get 3/5 of lvl 80 pvp set without any effort and even not doing a single BG at 71-80. It is not fair at all.


By the way, any one noticed that there was LOADS of blue about Warrior tanking and not a single post for last 2 months about warrir PvP. I'm not in Beta, so my question is: warriors are really hat Ok in PvP or Blizzard forget about us again?

sucks for you indeed but at least all will have a fair start [and thats how i like it ] id say that was a smart move by blizz but kinda late cus most of the people like u are farming and it seems its useless ;/

Totally understand yr anger koenigsegg but as Comrade Suhov mention it isnt fair. PvP is about farming honor points and get rewards for it, that said i think the honor points should be resseted BUT the "old" honor points should still be useable to buy the old items/gems after Wotlk. Making the geming part for people abite easier atleast.

What will this do for the final 4 or 5 weeks of arena prior to the expac?

Some people, like myself, only run 10 matches a week for the points to grab some easy epics once every 5 weeks to fill out an off spec set.

If i know for a fact i will never get the points for the next item i just won't bother. Same with BG's right now... they will be sad empty places with VERY long queues or massivly unbalanced teams :'(

Good basic idea, but announced WAY too late and not very well implimented.

Why not bring in new points like the new badges of justice and maybe trade 3 old points for 1 new one? Sure nerf the old points but reset them?

For those with unspent honor points prior to the release of the expansion, we will be offering a few upgrades and special rewards in next content patch solely for purchase via the honor system.

The changes to the Honor is nice sure a lot of people have invested time in farming but some people dont have that time. This makes it a even farming field for everyone.
Those who have better gear will still be able to farm better and faster and those with more time will be able to farm better and faster also. It only really hits the people on limited time. Then again it evens it out for both groups of people.
I personally have 75k and 100 of each mark and I dont care

As for the brewfest mounts thats pretty nice idea adding them to the boss as well makes it more fun.

tbh...i think that resetting points is a good thing
i for one am never the guy to spend my time in a BG, losing every time, wasting 30 minutes of my life for one wsg badge and 32 honor so i would have never farmed 75k before xpac...
the guys who did, well, i think blizz just told u "ni hao, thank you for doing it, useless tho"

also, nikkoo, i suspect not more than 50% of the wow population will know honor resets on wotlk launch, so they will keep doing BGs for fun and stuff

Arena and Honor reset should be done before every new season.
So this is a good step in the right direction. Sure they could have announced this earlier, but I'm sure it was still being evaluated untill resently.

Im fine with it even if I have 75k Honor (I like continued BG'ing even after I reach 75k honor, didn't bother me much at all wasting honor points).

I guess it is only fair that it will be reset so everyone will spend it and everyone will do PvP from 71-80.

Business side, it is good as well. Give the customers countless of reasons to stay in the game, keep playing, waste their time, keep paying, prevent them from reaching end-game quickly, {put reasons here}...

Anyway... what Honor Tokens??? I'm kinda lost there.... is the Blizz rep talking about Marks of Honor??

I'm more annoyed at the timing of the honor wipe announcement than there being a wipe, though it pisses me off my characters below 70 are gonna lose eveything for no reason whatsoever, since at best I'll get them to 60 by the time wotlk is out, and 80 for these will come long after I level my lock and DK to 80, followed by my shaman (70 now) and druid (69 now).

Concerning the brewfest mount, I think it's kodopoo that getting it relies on being lucky twice (to see it drop, then win the roll). Last year, getting a ram meant doing the races every day for almost all the duration of the brewfest, so people who spent the time were rewarded. With the random drop, you can kill him 50 times a day for the whole duration, and not see it drop a single time (or lose all the rolls). So far, after four days and an average of 10-15 kills a day, I saw the kodo drop exactly twice, and I lost the /roll, and the ram once (which my alt won). I think overall, the whole guild saw 3 or 4 mounts drop.
Oh yeah, and don't get me started on the lousy coin trinket.

It's not a horrible thing; it's just not great. Now I have to quickly finish getting my Mage her S2 weapon (like, this weekend) -- and I have to make sure that my wife's Paladin gets her cape (like, this weekend) and that her Warlock gets her S2 weapon (like, this weekend). DAMN IT BLIZZARD.

As for my Paladin; I average about 2 hours a night -- all BGs lately during the week, dailies and money farming on the weekend when I can play all day. At 2 hours a night, mostly AV, I get about 2K honor. So, if I farm the rest of the week on Angel and then finish up this weekend on Angel I should be able to get my S2 legs. Follow that up with some Arena this weekend (yup, I said it) for a hundred points or so on Tuesday and then 100 points or so next week; and I'll get my S3 gloves.

then I need 22k before the reset to get my S2 sword and I'm set for Wrath, and can finish leveling up my Mage/Warlock so that I have 2 alts and a main @ 70, with a DK to be started on launch day.

Think I can pull it off in, what, 5 weeks? :P

Meh it's lame that they'd remove the 3-4k honor that i've saved.
But it's good that they delete the 75K honor that some others have collected.

Perhaps they could just have set a transfer cap of 5-10K, so you don't punish "everyone" with this.
