Bah, boring that they took away the realm first titles. Even if I wasn't even thinking of trying to get a realm first.

Why did they take it away? To much whining? Thought Blizz said that a Feats of Strength are hard or close to impossible to achive. Well, they are right about impossible now when it's completely taken away.

Only reason by taking away those realm first titles that I see is good is that people will not play 100h str8 to try get one of those titles and that Blizz don't want players to ruch through their levels to 80. But both of that will exist no matter what anyway, but maybe a bit less when you cannot achive those titles anymore.

Guess there was some whiners using arguments like "Not fair, I cannot play that much to get one! I don't have gear enough to go that fast... I wasn't in beta, much harder!"

Anyway, sad news.

This is the first time I've thought Blizzard to be goddamned morons.

Essentially they're screwing non-Americans out of being able to watch BlizzCon.

What I find really funny, is that Blizzard is aligning themselves with a company thats Illegal in Canada due to them not following CRTC laws which they agreed to, and refusing to pay Canadian taxes on their Canadian Income.

Good to know that Blizzard likes to align themselves with companies that break the law.

I think it's more accurate to say that DirectTV is just cashing in on the Blizz money train. BLizz sees the check waved in front of them and go 'Uhh, ok'. I tried reading the page that was linked, but god damn tltr.

I agree. Rushing to be first was going to happen anyway, but it's still gd dumb. You'd hafta wait for everyone else to get to 80 before you could do anything at any rate.

The only really adamant arguments were actually mostly coming from Lore nuts and RPers that said "the best titles in the game shouldn't be given for something like this, and they shouldn't be given to only one person on each server." (i.e., Archdruid Livesinmomsbasement versus Archdruid Lovestoplayd&dtabletop). :P

I agree that there should have been a title for the peeps that hit 80 first, and for the first <class> to 80; not for the races. The ones for the professions were fine too.

I don't agree that the coolest cosmetic shit should go to the dude who doesn't sleep, cheats, shits himself, and doesn't get up for 3 days to do it. I remember hitting 68 in BC and being like "God damn I'm fast" and then getting ganked by 5 or 6 70's. It took me 5 days to hit 70, and I work full time and have a family. LOL. That guy should get a title, but something for his e-peen like "Supernerd" and not cool lore-specific shit like "Archdruid".

ah god damn - I had really been looking forward to follow the live streams from Blizzcon, since they did it so well with WWI.
Guess I'll have to follow news posts on different sites instead now, it just ain't the same:/

If it does turn out that free livestream will not be available, I will be seriously dissapointed. I was really glad when WWI was streamed over the internet, meaning I did not have to rely on poor quality video recordings and could immediatlly watch the thing. There was an occasional hickup in the beggining where it took really long for the events to stream (beacuse of which I missed the Diablo III announcement), but otherwise the stream was of good quality.

In any case, I still hope this is just something for those that want to watch BlizzCon on their TV set and that it does not affect the internet livestream.

I do like how Blizzard is heavily involved with the beta.

Who really wants to watch Blizzcon on thier TV? Really? Even worse, who would want to pay to watch it? How is anyone being screwed?

Unfortunately since work will be busy during Blizzcon, I can't use my vacation time to go to Blizzcon.

For anyone that hasn't been watching the beta forums in the past week or two, basically it was a boatful of whining on how unfair it was to people who didnt have time and it encouraged unhealthy playing etc.

Tell me how raiding 4-5hrs/night (for the average progression guild - the world first ones push harder than that) isn't promoting "unhealthy" lifestyles? Better yet, tell me who the fuck you are to decide what other people should do with their free time?

Blizzard should just save themselves the time and effort and remove raids from the game since eventually enough casual QQ will make it "politically incorrect" gaming design.

I'm slighly disappointed about the achievements, since I liked the idea. But on the other hand I'm thrilled that I don't have to choose between leveling and skilling fishing nonstop to 450, as soon as the expansion hits.
