We do listen and believe it or not, we read every post. We don't always agree with every suggestion, and in any case, game design by consensus or vote often doesn't lead to strong designs. Feedback is always, always, always appreciated, and it's not ignored even when it's negative (though of course we are less likely to respond to downright hostile or beligerent posts). But I don't want to give the impression that anything is up for vote or petition.

When we respond to seemingly fluff posts, honestly it's because that's an easy thing to do. We don't have to obsess about every word or nuance lest we give someone the wrong idea. I would post a hundred times more a day if I could write in a more casual, stream-of-consciousness manner. C'est la vie.

We haven't done much work on mana generation or sustainability in part because we were working on the massive buff changes and the mana battery mechanics in general. While managing your mana is something we want you to have to consider (else why have mana at all?), ideally we don't want to balance a class around "well this guy can do a lot but runs out of mana really fast." That's not a fun mechanic.

Its nice to see in last 3 weeks 1 blue post in paladin section with usuall: "we listening but have almost nothing new to say"
Rouge get full explanation on changes, druid and hunters also, what paladins get?
They get "we are listening".
If you guys dont believe just check how much blue posts have paladin on live server and on beta server forum and whats writen in this blue responds.

it really scares me what they plan to do with tanking ferals...
less armor then W? for what feral tanks will be usable?
no shieldwall, no last stand, no reflect...
almost no prot against spells, till now droods were nice pure melee tankers, but with those changes...

Well they said (and keep saying) they want to make all the tanks equal, so don't get your knickers in a twist just yet.

You are forgetting that there are no more crushing blows, meaning we do not require shieldwall. Also, as far as I know, Feral tanks will get some sort of Last Stand.

Druids already have a Last Stand as their 51 point talent. The duration is shorter, but so is the cooldown and, unlike the warrior's last stand, it gives additional benefits.

Quote:
Berserk
Instant 5 min cooldown

When activated, this ability temporarily grants you 30% of your maximum health while in Bear Form or Dire Bear Form, causes your Mangle (Bear) and Maul attacks hit up to 3 targets, and reduces the energy cost of all your Cat Form abilities by 50%. Lasts 15 sec.

Berserk instantly clears all effects which cause loss of control of your character, and makes you immune to them for the duration while in Cat Form, Bear Form, or Dire Bear Form.

Shield block is NOT shield wall.

30% more health wont help on maexxna either if they keep the mechanics of old naxx when she hits enrage at 20% (raid is stunned for several seconds, so no heals)

anyway, right now ferals are still the weakest tanks out there. when hitting 80, overall tanking stats are already below warriors and paladins, and the scaling is worse than all others: druids get less from defense than others (no need for crit reduction, no parry gain), agility vs str (dodge from agi scales worse than block/parry from str; rogue gear has agi instead of str on plate), armor values of gear (including the bear multiplier) scale worse on leather than plate.

So.. what about the druids who hate tanking and would love to just cat DPS.. everytime someone talks about cats they immediately speak about OTing.. Tanking isn't for anyone.. Why not just remove the cat ability at this point.

If a druid wishes to never tank it may be in their best interest to play a rogue, mage, warlock or other class/spec with no tanking ability.
