For what it's worth, a lot of the classes (other than Death Knight for obvious reasons), haven't gotten much attention recently, meanwhile Paladins have gotten changes in the last two patches.

Unholy Blight can get a stack of diseases on a lot of targets pretty quickly and those diseases can be pretty debilitating depending on your other talents. It's not going to do huge AE damage like say Blizzard or Volley (all channeled AEs do a lot more damage now), but it isn't intended to be just for tanking either.
Volley? Huge AE dmg? WTF are you Smoking?

The exotic pets will be different from normal pets. Ideally they might even be a little bit better, but we're very hesitant to make them too good lest we see every hunter stampede over to the BM tree.
/facepalm

Good Gawd, do these ppl not play this game? Hunters are already doing this, there's friggin 20% haste at the end of the damn tree. Wake the hell up and smell the cookie cutter builds.

The second quote of yours is brilliant, we'd hate to see every hunter stampede over to the BM tree.......

Oh, wait, they already are..

Kind of disturbing how there's been no real changes to shadowpriests since alpha.. getting worried Blizzard are thinking they're totaly fine. I highly doubt any shadowpriest is even remotely excited about the new talents.
