@ whoever made the thread: the links for the totams, relics and librams are all pointing at the same item when you mouse over them. 1st 2 relics are different, but then the 2nd and 3rd are the same. Also all of the librams and totams are pointing to the same items for each spec... unless there is something am missing and a resto shaman would like there WF AP increased.

In general, am not exactly blown away with the items, not the HUGH increase in power that we have experienced with TBC, but as much wiser people than myself have discussed, there was no real need for a armour reset such as was needed for TBC.

in general, it seems that "end game" gear as it stands will last you into early raiding at 80. With alot of the items with item level of 77 (highest available i belive at this point in time as the level cap is 77 atm) are "just" about on par with some teir6 items.. so couple more levels and they are sunwell level.

should make some people rather happy that have some sunwell items that they will be with them for , in case's, another 10 levels at least.

am I the only one who thinks it is strange that there is melee haste rating on a cloth item?

melee haste is on a lot of items as it now counts for casters as well I remember reading but the wording is very very mis leading.

I wonder how long my BT gear will last me all my other char will be upgrading along the way

Got a question. Why do you update your posts in general instead of making a new one? Just curious.
For me personally, I'd prefer more seperate posts, because they are easier to identify with a RSS reader. Currently I have to manually check for an updated post.

Other than that. Keep up the good information. Can't get enough of it.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. I´m still undecided if I like it or not.
As of right now, I see no incentive to "farm" loot in the first instances, or even enter them at all, but instead rush to 80.

Very true Grannor about there being "little incentive" for a current end game raider to go to some of the new instances loot wise.

But then again.. when ZA was released, there where already people that very much outgeared the instance, yet they still went to there. Why ? to experience the instance, also running it in "normal" mode prepares you somewhat for the heroic mode. imagine going into mana tombs for the very 1st time in heroic mode.. be rather hard without knowing some things about the boss's in there.

Also, not everyone has access to sunwell gear. So overall, lets say that the vast majority of guilds are running at least above kara level of gear (say 75% of guilds) but then are not as high as clearing or making good progress in a teir 6 instance, so basicaly now SSC/TK guilds (maybe a vashj or keal kill under the belt, maybe not), maybe a "little" into T6 instances maybe a boss or 2 at best... would it be fair to say at least 50% of guilds fall into this catagory? The items they get in those instances i make around level 72 - 73. This thefore means that for the vast majority of people playing the game, those instances are going to contain some upgrades virtualy from the moment they step into WoTLK. so for my reconing, at least 50% of the wow cominuty will recive upgrades on there gear from level 72- 73 items, rather nice amount to start with.

overall, i like the fact that the itemisation is not SO far ahead for people.. and it basicaly means that no matter how you have performed in TBC.. by the time everyone reaches level 80 sunwell raider or once a week casual, there gear will be around the same level.

that will certainly make it easier when starting raiding, and will obviously mean that there is a "sort of" gear reset for people... causual once a week player or 16 hour a day player, they will all be at a similar level of gear once they ding 80.

I wouldn't be surprised if that was exactly their aim

erm.. this might just be how the items are linked, or how the information was gathered, or even me reading into the items to much..

But i find it somewhat strange that for this now quite large array of items.. not one has a gem slot in them.

Are they doing away with gem slots on items untill the "end game" items?
or
Are there just no gem slot items being found yet?

well I am sure Sunwell items will be upgraded only in first tier raid instances.. atlast I hope so.. I am not sunwell raider but that would be pretty lame if hardcore raiders wouldn't get atlast 1 advantage in WotLK raiding..

Hate posting aftermyself.. but meh

Noticed that in the wowdb new items list that there was a interesting change from the norm in 1st aid items..

Manual: Heavy Frostweave Bandage is pretty ordinary, expected to be healing more as they go up in level..

BUT this got my attencion.

Manual: Dense Frostweave Bandage

which is higher required level to use and make, i thought "had there, that is wrong.. it heals for less".. but it is the time that is needed to make the heal i thought interesting.. 4 seconds instead of 8. it certainly increase's the usefulness of healing with bandages ... and it certainly makes use of bandages in arena etc more valuable. hell as a rogue.. a quick /gouge + bandage macro could see you heal yourself the 4100 health whenever bandage is up (20% more if you have specced quick recovery as a rogue)

/edit.. and yay for Unionoob posting inbetween my posts ^^

dense bandage is brand new thing, you missed the normal frostweave bandage, 4800 in 8 secs and jumped straigth into the heavy one...
