Quite interesting that Wintergrasp will work for the entire zone of Northrend, guess horde on most servers will only get it like 1/3rd - 1/5th of the time.

ps. You seem to have missed the fact losing the game will give an advantage to the losing faction, until they can finally win.

Ironically given the theme of this discussion, they confirmed frost mages will get a mechanic allowing them to Shatter bosses. Those who've read the alpha wiki already knew, but some still believed bosses might be immune to the new ability (that applies a debuff that makes a target "considered frozen").

Hopefully sooner or later they will realize more needs to be done to keep arena entertaining. Simply adding new maps doesn't cut it when seasons are a ridiculous 6 months long. All these issues they nerfed, team swapping, point selling and rating selling were the ways people entertained themselves after capping gear in the first month.

Any change for Warlock pet resilience and AOE damage scaling?
They are happy with the pet scaling right now.

Arenas only have the best pvp stuff, not overall the best gear.
But if you don't do arena, why would you need that level of gear anyway?
In battlegrounds you can do fine with the honor gear.
In pve arena gear isn't worth it really.

They'll also continue the badge system which will make getting gear easy for anyone.

I don't really like arenas either, but Blizz needs to have a reason to keep them interesting for people. What else can they make WoW tournaments for?

hmm shit i hoped that they will tell us something about Deathknights and their PvP viability....

because right now, the DKs are even bigger victims than Retribution Paladins are....
they will be kited to death and there is nothing they can do against it.

their only mechanism to get close to an enemy is their Death Grip ability wich has a 45 (35 skilled) sec cooldown, which means death in every pvp situation.

DKs have ZERO spamable snares/roots, only when they go deep into frost they get a very weak 30% snare (so targets can still move with 70% of their base speed).

EVERY other snare ingame slows for a much higher value, so even if you manage to snare your target, it will still be faster than you -.-.

Mages and Hunter will dominate DKs as soon as they use more than 2 braincells...
and even warirors and rouges could "kite" DKs to death (run away, bandaid, reengage).

Ret Pallis at least have 15% runspeedinecrease and Blessing of Freedom which helps a little bit, but especially in the Arena against skileld teams a Ret ges kited/cced to death without beeing able to do anything.

that kind of scares me abit considering the DK clas....

Not to get too much into stuff I shouldn't be posting here, but you're wrong about them not having snares.

Chains of ice on a 16 second cooldown freezing them in place for 3s and slowing them when they break with their move speed returning by 10% every second. Plus specing into unholy causes unholy presence to give movement speed.

Frost will probably be the main pvp tree, perhaps blood or unholy with the right healing class.
But if you check an alpha talent calculator, the ones that don't exist and I'm not looking at right now, you can see that frost will be great for pvp and will work great with mages. Shatter combo's will be insane.

If you combine the freezing and slowing effects of the frost tree with death's grip and a decent arena partner (preferably mage) you'll have a nice overpowered class.

Noticed your edit comment; Icy Touch can slow movement speed if you put points into a talent in the Frost tree.

Just a question, were the talent trees complete on the playable WoTLK demo? If so people can finally discuss the trees with a calculator next to it, which would clear a lot of confusion.

I wouldn't exactly call them complete -- the game is till in Alpha -- but yes all classes other than Hunter and Paladin have their talents in the version available at WWI.

Considering no one had to sign an NDA to get into WWI (I'm assuming), the talent trees and anything visible in the alpha at WWI should now be considered fair game to talk about, no?

I know it's kind of a legal tightrope you guys have to walk, but it would be nice to have the handcuffs taken off and let us actually talk about what we've almost all read
