I haven't seen any info on him on World of Raids main page or Wowhead so I thought this might be new info to the masses. Took a grp to kill him in BRD.
When you first enter BRD there are little consoles to the right of the entrance. Clicking on one will teleport you to the Grim Guzzler. There is a NPC there with a daily. He give you a quest to go make Coren angry and proceed to beat him up. He's standing in the side room wheret the ale is. Your whole party and pick it up so you can do the encounter 5 times in that run.
The fight really isnt that hard. In full S2 on ptr it wasn't difficult at all. It starts out with him and 3 adds. The adds have a decent amount of health but have no abilities and go down relatively easily. Through out the fight you'll see the drillers come out of the ground and I think 1-2 adds would come out. There's also a Barmaid add that spawns. I think we only ever saw like 2 per fight, maybe 3. They throw ale mugs at people. An ale mug will appear in your inventory, if you don;t drink if after a certain amount of time, under a minute or so, you will be stunned for like 8 seconds.
Coren himself is pretty much spank n tank. He doesn't hit that hard. The only ability I noticed was maybe...one a minute, he'd start an ability I think called Corens Disarm. Has a 10 second ish cast time. He grows large and does a whirlwind that disarms everyone who gets hit. Don't remember how much dmg it did but I doubt it was much.
Strat:
We went in there and didn;t even have a strat. 2 dps wars( One of which(me) tanked, a shadow priest wearing healing gear, a mage, and a holy priest. Dps wars tanking and weirdly geard dps and it was still easy. Without any talking it out, the DPS war was on Coren the whole fight. We would both run away and do some dmg to adds when the disarm came up. The Mage and shadow priest just nuked adds most the time then dps'd Coren when there wern't any left. It's a short fight, maybe 5 mins. When Coren dies all the adds dissapear.
LOOT:
Trinket, summons a female dorf that throws ale at your party to drink.
Trinket, tanking. (Look over at bag, bad SS sry)
Trinket, Melee Dps
We killed him 5 times. Saw the tanking trinket coin twice and the Charm twice.
Also the shanker is pretty cool as well
