But, this is a nice little thing for the background downloader. Will help when old WoW players get back on and have to patch up.
Maybe we will get alot of stuff for Storm Peaks or Icecrown? Or, big class changes? Who knows? Time will tell of what shall change .

I have to ask: why is called 3.0.2 and not 3.0.1? Are they reserving the 3.0.1 name for all the Beta patch cycles or something?

Yes it is the patch that will contain everything WotLK has to offer except Northrend and the new level cap.

We were gonna finish up the 4 horsemen and move onto Saph and Kel tonight...dang it Blizz!

But I'm glad the stuff is gonna be on the PTR though, too.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but the launcher screen has the WotLK title at the top for a few seconds when you open it, then it goes back to normal.

#.#.1 is reserved for "A patch that may be necessary immediately after the release of a major content patch, in the event that said major content patch causes an unforeseen issue that cannot be resolved with a Hotfix."

Old WoW players may remember the content patch that - when it was installed, made everyone "warp around" instead of run correctly. An #.#.1 patch was quickly released to correct that.

Since they are using 3.0.0 to refer to the Beta, I guess they are assuming (by using 3.0.2) that there will be no need for a 3.0.1, a.k.a an "o S*** what did we do" patch.

But wasn't 2.0.1 the BC pre-patch, and not 2.0.2? I was going on that.

Better hope this build is more stable than the one we got last Friday otherwise you will spend a lot of time seeing "World Server Down"

Yea it was 2.0.1 but they also skipped 2.0.2 and went right to 2.0.3.
