I wish this spec would come back. I played one during BC and i loved it, so I tried one on the 3.1 PTR just for kicks and it stinks. I specced it many different ways and cracked 1k DPS barely on a Boss Training dummy. The gear used wasnt gonna blow you away but it was ok.

Now i know Shockies are not supposed to be GREAT DPS but can we get some Raid or PVE DPS? Either through buffing Holy Shock in PVE or Making a certain Seal great for Shockies.

Hell Shockies dont even have a gear set for PVP no more!

In the future are we going to see any Shockadins running around Naxx, Ulduar, and so on?

shockadins are not good, i dont know why people still try to do this, even pre wrath, they were never as good as ret, nor could the heal as well as holy. season 1 was the only time this may have been viable. but since 3.0 changes blizzard has not made the gear to make this a viable spec. if you wanna dps, just go ret. if you wanna heal be holy, there is no in between any more, and shockadins will never be a viable spec.

Holy can still do SOME decent damage because of spell power being the same for spell damage and healing. Just.. don't expect anything like you seem to be expecting. Use a proper Seal and Judgement with Holy Shock, and that's all you can do. If that's not enough for you, then.. I don't know what you're expecting from a healing tree.

TBH i was hoping Schockies might turn to what Shadow Priests were in BC. Never at the top of damage i remember them at about 5th or so in kara, throwing out heals Via vamp touch, and suppying other bufffs

Blizzard have scrapped the "buffer" role. The only real roles now are dps, tank and healer. Most buffer classes have been given as much dps/tanking/healing viability as the others, and the classes that didn't use to buff anyone now have buffs. So that Shadow Priest niche was deleted and won't be brought back for shockadins.

It's true that, just like the other healing trees, it's a little too bad that there aren't more dual effect talents that improve both magical dps and healing. Though the difference between a full dps spec and a healing spec was reduced by the change to bonus damage and heal, the new level 80 talents mean that there is even more difference between specs. Try grinding as a tree-spec druid, it's really pathetic.

Dual Specs should help a lot though :)
