Elemental Shaman Help

This is the first time i roll to elemental, i know i need tons and tons of SP but what are the stats i need to get?

Rotation is so important to improve the dps rate in raids whats the best rotation i can use?

I hope Pimp Uber Ele Shaman can help me on this.

Some of this may be wrong I have a shammy but never raided as elemental. I know that crit rating, hit rating, and haste are also stats you need to stack. Your main rotation should be Flame Shock Lava Burst Chain Lightning then Lightning Bolt repeat. Again you may want to double check this on EJ or maxdps.com I always played resto on my shammy.

hit > sp > haste > crit, so far that's the best, and Red gave you the rotation, remember Chain lightning has priority over lightning bolt.

I just wanted to add that you need to keep in mind what your normal raid group is. If you have a shadow priest you need less hit rating and what not. Just take that into account when you look at gear. I'm not saying its not good to be hit capped just in general but you might be able to stack another state higher if you can reach the hit cap with raid buffs.

I'm currently using FS -> LvB -> LB till shock is ready -> ES -> LB until LvB ready -> LB until FS ready -> Repeat. Shamanistic Focus + high crit rating makes Shock cost only 37 mana, since with glyph FS lasts 18sec casting ES when shock is ready is better than recasting FS. I don't us CL because:
1. Bigger mana cost and Elemental Focus saves even more mana with LB
2. Lower casting time means lower damage so LB does more damage
3. in 3.0.8 shamanism wont effect CL making LB damage even higher than CL
4. Lightning Overload proced by LB will do more damage than CL

PS. That's my personal opinion if you don't like it you may not use it

as of now:
hit till cap (14% with the 3% talent, 11% with the talent and a shadowpriest or boomkin) > spellpower >haste to the softcap (lightning bolt casts in 1.75seconds) > crit

prioratizing:
FS (if not up) > LvB > CL > LB

Dont earthshock in your rotation, even with the fixed glyph on the ptr its less dps than another LB.
