yeah i know some of the gears sucks not gona deny that part but i've been gone for a while cause of frigen storms and internet not working i have a list to get better gear but if you know a upgrade off the top of your head thats cool. The spec is mostly for soloing but if you have a better raiding spec also let me know. I know for the gems it should be spirit > mp5 but a was leveling jc and had that recipe available planning on cutting int+spirit blues once i get the pattern.

for my rotation i usually start off with IS then MF SFx3 wrath till eclipse then starfire while refreshing IS as needed and MF when it finally wears off then repeat and i can only get ~1500 dps which seems low for the rotation.

That's completely wrong.

Icy Touch / Plague Strike , Death Strike, Heart, Heart, Death, Heart, Heart, Heart, Heart

That's the way to go.

No, not a Blood Death Knight rotation, he wants a Balance Druid rotation. BDK != BD.

1500 dps is really low, but moonkins scales very good with gear, so you will only see a much higher dps when you get some upgrades. I havent been raiding since before christmas, but my best fights were pushing almost 5k dps.

With your current state of gear you will have to spec somewhat into mana regen talents. this will change when you get better gear. I have prob went through 10 changes just to find something thats suitable. it was hard in the start and i went oom in alot of fights. That changed when others in my guild got gear that was compareable to the best geared of us. Just accept that you will have to use mana pots etc in the start. (but if the others in your guild got better gear then you, then your kills will prob be so fast that you wont have a problem.)

Personally I like to start with IS (just because it has no initial dmg and therefor wont be a agro problem in the very early start):
IS, MF, SF x3 (or untill eclipse) WR untill end, back to SF and apply IS/MF when needed.
During bloodlust = only SF and if MF goes out during it I usually apply it (but not if its close to the end of the BL)

I went quite quickly to get hitcapped. It was an insane dmg boost for me. Some of my gear is abit bleh, not what I wanted, but mainly gear with SP, Crit (for regen, faster cast + best dmg boost imo), Int and Spirit (for the small regen + spellpower in boomkin form). Dreamstate is not good enough anymore and I try and stay clear from mp5.

The resto side is well balanced, but your balance side is kinda... meh, in my opinion. A lot of the talents I see druids speccing in atm are not good for raiding, like typhoon and owlkin. My spec, I have found, has benefited me greatly while gearing up. It gives me increased hit chance, increased crit chance on SF and damage on wrath, it's great for compensating for what you don't have. I'm reaching the point of not necessarily needing imp IS and imp FF, so if you like this spec, grab it while it lasts :).

With this spec I can put up sustained (Constant over 6 minutes) of at least 3.2k dps, which ain't too shabby. Burst dps of around 3.8-4k. Pretty consistently top dps in 25-man naxx. AND I NEVER RUN OUT OF MANA.

The best rotation for this spec is, i find (For bosses at least) imp-ff/MF/IS/wrathx3/starfirex2/IS/starfire/MF/wrathx3, and so on and so forth. If eclipse procs, i start spamming the buffed spell at any time during that rotation. This is a general idea of a rotation that I use, however, it is VERY important to understand that different situations call for different rotations, so it's good to get a basic understanding as to how all of your spells and talents interact with each other and compliment each other.

If you're looking for a quick increase at dps with this spec (At 136 hit and imp FF, i have no issue with missed spells) stack crit/haste gear. 15% seems to be the happy medium for crit and haste around 500-700. IMO that's too much haste, my goal is 20-23% crit out of moonkin and 400 haste, with hit around... 200-220. That seems perfect.

It is NEVER good to stack one stat, like most druids do with haste. Yeah, haste is awesome, but I have seen a bigger increase with crit than haste.

Despite all of this, the balance tree is one of my favorite in the game. It gives you almost limitless ability to spec and dps how YOU want to, and still be viable dps (Pending, of course, on gear).

I hope this helped a little :)
