I can't clear it out just what this talent does to me as a Moonkin, does it increase my Spell Damage done by 4% or my Spell Bonus Damage by 4% ?

if it were any different it would be, "increases the damage done by your spells by XX%"

I am fairly certain it is damage done by spells. Typically it explicitly states when it modifies your spell power. Granted, it also usually says damage done by spells.
If it does modify your spell power it should show on your character pane.

i'm quite certain it increases damage done by 4%...look at tree of life, increases healing done by 4% not increases healing spell power...
also, another thing...there is no "spell damage" any more, now there's spell power :) that should be enuf of a hint for everyone

but tbh, if u really wanna check, go boomkin and see if ure SD is higher :)

Use the bear effect as a reference.

It says "spell damage" to set it apart from "physical damage", so your weapon attacks are unaffected. I'm pretty sure that's the reason why it says "spell damage".

if you have 100 spell power this will make it 104 spell power ect..

It does in fact increase your damage on your character sheet but NOT your healing. So increases your +spell damage as if the stat still existed. Out of moonkin form, with this talent, my Bonus Damage and Bonus Healing on my character sheet are both 1628. In moonkin form, my Bonus Damage goes up to 1703 whereas my Bonus Healing only goes up to 1638.

This is from a combination of multiple talents. My intellect goes up in moonkin form which means Lunar Guidance gives me 10 more healing because it's "Increases your spell POWER by 12% of your total Intellect"

Improved moonkin form and master shapeshifter, however, both say "increases spell damage" This means it is the original spell damage stat, and thus on your character sheet only your bonus DAMAGE will go up. This is totally moot point however, it could increase both if blizzard really felt like changing the wording, but it would still only apply in moonkin form where you can't cast heals anyway.

So to sum it up, you can calculate it as your spellpower going up, or calculate it as just your spell damage going up, either way it's the same.

Officially on your character sheet it only increases your bonus damage.

it means you do 104% damage spells.
if your base spell did 100 dmg with a 4 second cast and u have 50 spell power

you would do (100+50)*1.04% = 156 damage
