On a raid boss, I use something like this rotation:
Curse of Elements if needed -> immolate -> chaos bolt -> incinerate -> incinerate -> incinerate -> conflag (should be right at the end of immolate) -> immolate (sped up)-> chaos bolt (sped up)-> incinerate (sped up), etc.
But since running around can mess up rotation it's better to know the basic rules:
1) Chaos Bolt as much as possible
2) Have immolate up as long and as much as possible
3) Conflag only if immolate has less than 5 seconds
4) But make sure to conflag
Just watch that immolate timer and that chaos bolt cooldown timer. If there's only 2 seconds or so left on immolate, and you won't have time to cast incinerate and conflag before it's over, that's when you life tap or shadowfury. That triggers the 1.5 or less GCD, leaving you half a second to conflag. boom boom boom.
It's been a bit since I played a Destro lock ,but conflag used to be quite useless and just would eat up the last tick of Immolate and generally ended up nerfing your damage rather badly. However I did only play Destro at 60 and 70 raiding and haven't touched my Lock since expansion.

This isnt the case anymore with the new destro talents.

What is the case now? Conflag is better? I'm a demo lock, i always thought shadow bolt was the staple for the class.
Just out of curiosity what talent makes conflag actually deal enough damage that it's worth losing out on the extra Incin/Chaos Bolt/Shadow Bolt time or the refresh on Immo?

The talent that makes conflag worth it is Backdraft. At three talent points, everytime you cast conflag your next three spells have cast time reduced by 30%. The amount of time saved is essentially that extra cast you were worried about, but you get three shots at big crits, sou leech returns, etc.
Shadow Bolt has been moved out of the destro rotation. Look at talents like Molten Core, Emberstorm, Fire and Brimstone, etc. These make it worth having immolate up at all times, which in turn makes incinerate out damage shadow bolt. Emberstorm gives it a shorter cast time to boot.

Makes sense. I don't see how I missed that one heh. Thanks for the clarification.

You should use keep CoA (and Corr if the have the glyph) up at all times for Molten Core uptime.. Other than that, just spam CB on cooldown and immo/incinerate*x/conflagrate. If you have another lock in the party that is keeping up immolate its best to use all 3 backdraft charges on incinerate then reapply immolate.
If you want to get technical, best dps is to use all 3 backdraft charges on soulfire but we hardly have the shards for it :)

I believe my spec is on my armory profile.
Affliction is definatley the most damage for our class right now.
Rotation is actually alot different from before now. Since we have the new molten core talent, it is in your best interest to lead with corruption and always make sure that is up.
my rotation goes as follows:
corruption>agony>immolate>incenerate>incenerate>incenerate>corruption>incenerate>agony
my haste might make me a little different from others posting, but the general idea is to use all 3 of your dots
also, rain of fire has recieved a huge buff compared to the golden days. aoe packs lead to a huge dps increase when you use it instead of seed of corruption. when you are aoe'ing packs, make sure that you chose this as your multiple target damage.

If youre going Fire Destro as already said, keep CoA up to get MC procs.
Corr should only be used if a.) you are on CoE duty or b.) You got the T7 2p bonus
Else it will just be a dps loss from what I've read over at Elitist Jerks.
A imo good specc is something like Chaos Bolt/Demonic Aegis 2/13/51 +5
The first 2 in imp CoA, change this to 5 in imp corr if you are using CoE and corr to procc MC.
