How to improve ele dps on Brut

Hi all,

As the title says I would like to get more dps on the Brut encounter in SW. At our last attempt I did 1500 dps. I have looked at other wow web stats and forums and saw that other shamans do way more elemental damage. I'm grouped with a mage, 2 x lock and an spriest. We do use drums of battle rotation. The pots i use are adept's and draenic wisdom elixir and spelldmg food.

I would like to add that I have 118 spellhaste as the amory doesnt show haste.

Would it be better (since I have 118 haste) to stick with pure LB spam or use 4lb/cl rotation for more efficient dps? Or perhaps re-gem in any way?

Your gems and gear look fine, you might want to use a flask instead and wizard oil if you aren't already. Make sure you're using a mod like quartz to gauge your latency. Also you could chug destruction potions if you wanted to max your dps.

Note that i included +3%crit of the fire totem in your base values.

Only change greenField.
Adjust values according to your buffs in-fight buff.

+I used wowhead and wowwiki for everything.
+The values off Skycall Totem isnt very accurate, cause it has been calculated on a one single minute cycle (Thought we are not far from reality). You totem is better anyway.
+I didnt include the proc of you ring, cause after several researchs, the cooldown is so high and the duration is so low that the bonus isnt very high. Guess it's beetween 10 and 20 splldmg, depending on your haste rating.
+If you make few tests with differents values, you will notice that splldmg is always better than crit. It is simply because shaman elem spec. are cheated and get nearly 80% of splldmg for LB. Nerf inc in Wotlk.
+Unless you get tons of splldmg (more than ten thousands), the cycle 3:1 is best than the 1:.

There may be some mistakes, sorry for that, but the sheet is only here to give you an idea of what you should do.

Edit : whoops ! The notice for the Stuff... I put "Juste" instead of "Just". Wont be corrected online

Thanks for your input Cirvin, I never expected to get such an elaborate answer :). I have also checked maxdps.com and with their calculator pure lb spam gives me the highest dps, also 4lb/cl gives more dps than 3lb/cl, so I am not too sure about using 3lb/cl.

Kudret: Next raid I will use a flask to see what difference it will make (normally use adept's and draenic wisdom), I do use wizard oil on my weapon. Also gonna squeeze Destruction pots in the 6 mins we have.

With more than 0 haste rating, 3:1 doesnt work, cause CD on CL isnt reduced. So the good cycle with haste rating is 4:1. Links updateds.
