Am respecing to boomkin i was wondering if i should capp my spell hit first or just go spell dmg till i get T5 or T6.

Hit till you are cap, Does not matter if you have 2000000 SD if you are missing a lot your doing a lot of DPS

In general you should cap hit as it is the most efficient stat for dps in terms of item budget. However, it's not really possible to say that hit is always better than all other stats. Fact is, if an item has enough damage or crit at a loss of hit it can be an upgrade anyway, but there are too many factors to pin point exactly when this occurs.

Like all caster classes, I put Spell hit first and formost at top. So for boomkins with Balance of Power up, you need 152 Spell hit so that you don't miss any bosses. This is because all bosses are considered to be at level 73 and require 13% hit to be cap against them. With Balance of Power you don't need 4% of that 13 so in reality, you only need to make up for 9%. After that start stacking Spell Damage and then haste, then Crit, since you are giving you group a 5% extra Spell Crit.

You need +16 % base.
Moonkin needs +12% with balance of power.

The 13% base resist rate is incorrect, but the amount of hit rating he gave (152) is the correct amount with Balance of Power.

15%, 1 % miss rate is always standard for spells sadly enough

And that is exactly why he needs 16%.
The base resistance for lvl 73 mobs (which bosses are) is 17%, where 1% can't be removed.
