Mage Water Elemental ?

I know that your Elementals dmg is based on your overall spell dmg but what I'm wondering is, is it based on what your dmg is at when you summon him? Or do things like poping a trinket after he is summoned boost his dmg? Also once he is summoned say I popped my Icon of the Silver Cresant before I summoned him and once it wears off does his dmg go down?

If anyone has an answer to these questions or can point me in the right direction on where to find the ansewers I would appreciate it.

My guess is that it's based of your spell damage at the time of the summoning, much like lifebloom used to keep the +heal of the first lifebloom tick pre-nerf.

That's the impression that I get too but just wanted a confirmation on whether I'm correct or incorrect.

"Pop your Trinkets BEFORE summoning your Water Elemental. Your pet receives 40% of your + Frost Damage when you summon him. Increasing your + Frost Damage right before summoning him will increase his DPS, which in turn will increase yours. Try to time your trinkets with the summoning of your pet as best as you can."

How reliable it is i cannot tell, but that's what i found :)

Get naked and summon it and let it shoot a few times, after that put on all gear and trinket up before shooting and see if the dmg increases is my guess. *shrugs*

i have another question, completely unrelated to the topic, but i hate making new threads:

do draeneis get their 1% hit when not in a party? how about when they are in a party with any other race besides a draenei? cuz i dont see the buff on myself when in a party, or when soloing

That racial ability was a buff before if im not wrong :s thought it still was it. And it should add the 1%.. Buutch
