Best group

We've been having some discussion about this and currently have a bet going on this with some RL friends.

As and Ele Shaman in a PvE raid, is it better to be in a group that is

(A) SPriest, Ele Shaman, lock, lock, lock

or

(B) Same as a with mages instead of locks?


And most importantly...why?

those would both get owned by 2345. Your best bet is to go with a 4 DPS make; Holy pally, Ele shamman, MS warrior, Frost mage and Shadow priest (hunter or lock also work). Shadow priests bring more options to the table.

thats what i figured.

as long as you have the SPriest and Shaman having 3 locks will probably be better cause locks tend to put out a little more dps at higher progression then mages. but raid utility wise it will make 0 difference whether they are locks or mages

If you are looking for the "dps group" it would be ele shaman, boomkin, sp, hunter, (caster of your choice)

If you cant get the boomkin or the SP you can replace them with more hunters or more casters

Is it true that the ele shaman wrath totems stack with others? So, if you have 2x Ele Sham/Boomkin/Spriest and a lock or mage, that mage or lock would basically put out ridiculous deeps.

Shadow Priest/Elemental Shaman/3x best casters being either mages or locks.

Why? It doesn't really make much of a difference between either, although on fights with more raid damage I would tend towards locks for the obvious reasons.

You can add a BM hunter in there for 3% more group damage also.
