arcane got nurfed to shit but T5 it's still built around this spec.

Get spellfire and spellstrike and spec fire. Frozen shadoweave for a mage is just.. Fill the non-set spots with best-of-slot at your gear level (e.g. footpads of madness), and you should be sorted until you kill Vasjh and pick up her robe.

40/0/21 with 2 tier 5 is the most fun spec there is for mages in my opinion. If however you dislike it, there is no other reason to get the tier5 set.
